I've always liked this ensemble. Nice rendering. If I could offer any advice--perhaps more in the way of articulation, and changes in tempo? The musical ideas are good!

My husband is a bassoonist- &mdash 03/02/08 - 04:37:37 PM
and plays with a local woodwind quintet, so I appreciate the effort that goes into writing an arrangement for this combination of voicings. You have a really nice flow of musical ideas. Perhaps rendering the higher voices a bit louder in comparison to the inner and low voices would give it a more characteristic sound. Also, more dynamic contrast for the whole ensemble. Articulations can be tough to try to emulate with software instruments, but dynamic control is possible.
I like the two movement (or sections, I guess) back to back. They hang together quite nicely, yet provide nice contrasting style.
