Description:
This is a classical experiment, is very repetitive, contains geese, a rendition of 'Twinkle-toe-ness' and is very much tongue-in-cheek.
It may be one of a series, but a series developing different aspects of classical instruments and arrangements.
There's also some fairy dust lurking around, to catch folks unawares.
Don't say I didn't warn you.

This is a totally lush, wild and quacky (I mean wacky) ride. I absolutely LOVE this - so creative and imaginative. Really really fun - thanks! [ Reply to This ]
Hi M... &mdash 02/27/08 - 12:20:11 PM
I'm glad you enjoyed listening to this piece. I once again wasn't sure how people would react but it seems to have gone down OK.
Hope fully there will be more where this came from, but more varied in both content and subject.
Take care.

...and the Wolf never had it so good.
What a fun number...another unique composition with which you've graced the world, Paul. I don't know where you get all your ideas, but you have firmly established yourself as an individualist who has a limitless imagination.
Peace.

Hi Paul...... &mdash 02/27/08 - 12:31:30 PM
Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf themes are pieces that I remember listening to in my first school years. Your comments brought the memory back to me, of listening to an old recording on an ancient Gramophone in the early 60's, with Mrs Egglestone being the head mistress.
I've no idea where these pieces of music come from. I think it's just that my limit of what I'll produce has no real limit. The scary thing is that there are both strange and normal musical pieces awaiting their turn, in my mind. Now what shall I come up with next, mmmm.
Take care.

He he he... this is cool. Is that an oboe? I'm hearing quarter tones? This very original. [ Reply to This ]
Hi Soulima... &mdash 03/02/08 - 12:30:08 PM
There are a few classical-sounding instruments in there. I can't remember if it's an oboe or a clarinet, off the top of my head. I would err towards clarinet myself.
The piece is a throw-away, experimental piece that I didn't pay much attention to. More listeners have shown interest than I would have thought likely.
Thanks for listening and leaving your comments.

Hello Peter &mdash 03/02/08 - 02:36:39 AM
quite unusual and interesting. It tickled (or twinkled) my ears and my brain. I loved it. Thank you. [ Reply to This ]
Hi Enrique.... &mdash 03/02/08 - 12:32:32 PM
I do hope the comment was for me and you did enjoy this piece.
It's a test piece, for mixing classical sounds and trying to come up with something both acceptable and interesting and an unusual way.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care.
