I dont know why actualy but such
old folk songs ,with their own
simple form and honest words grabbed
my attention and interests .maybe some
of them I found my passions ? maybe I
found some words matched my life in a
very strange casting over mine ? all
I can say , I m enjoying this and wish
reflect my love to these gems ..again
thnx alot for my dearest friend Roxylee
for charming us with her sweet voice
and her bit of magic as well on cello.
btw/I never knew its a real story until

Your vocal is great on this, Feter - very expressive and filled with feeling. The instrumentation works very well, and the heavenly (that's the only word to describe it!) vocals from Roxylee give the song a whole new element - an ethereal quality that makes this ballad somehow transcendent. Another sweet song, Feter. Just such a simple and clean arrangement all the way around. Roxy's vocals are the perfect compliment to your own hearty sound and are beautifully mixed. You have similar ideas to myself in orchestration.
There are parts that have beauty and simplicity .
May I make a technical suggestion ( not that I am one to preach as I am guilty of technical errors myself).
I think that if you faded in the higher( in pitch )choir like notes it could sound a bit more real or softer.
Either by increasing your attack time on Amplitude Envelope of tone generator or a fade in on a DAW ( easier).
Also you could add a touch of delay and reverb to them.
But it is still a pleasurable listen and so, I shall play it again .

You have produced a completely original take on one of Woody Guthrie's classic outlaw ballads. It's a brilliant re-imagining - sounding both modern and folksie at the same time.
The song is particularly timely here in the United States, given the current crisis in residential housing, where many people have been forced to abandon their homes because of increased mortgage interest rates and declining home value. In 1939 (when this ballad was written) Woody was singing about a similar thing when, during the Great Depression, thousand of people were forced out of their homes through bank foreclosures.
I'm a little surprised you left out some of the best lines Woody wrote, where he compares an outlaw to a banker, before delivering the valediction that "you'll never see an outlaw/drive a family from their home" -
"As through this world I've wandered
I've seen lots of funny men
Some will rob you with a six gun
And some with a fountain pen."
Woody wrote that line almost 70 years ago ... yet it is perfectly fitting for today.
