Description:
Song Title: Frozen Sweat
Track Length: [5:32]
Genre: World/Classical/Indie/Electronica/Hip-Hop/
* Camel SFX provided by: freesounds, inc.

Song Description: Life can be rough, like traveling on a camels back during high noon on the Sahara desert plains. No mater what direction you had taken, the scorching sun remains beating, burning down against your skin, which is no different than getting frost bitten. The pain still remains....

Lyrics:
Too Hot for Headaches, Thirst for Wisdom....

Great title &mdash 02/27/08 - 09:04:23 PM
and the track doesn't disappoint. Excellent beats, and good use of string sounds. The intro works very well, I think, pulling you into a place, then the ambience of the piece pulls you along. I like that guitar that kicks in at around 2:00. The break at around the 2:40 mark is unexpected, and works very well. I love the riff that follows - sense of expectation (although I would have liked more of it, I have to say...) - and the kick up into the final section of drums and strings is interesting. Nice sound, and great arrangement. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Wide Genrescape! &mdash 02/28/08 - 09:50:01 AM
Genre: Film music

Synopsis/description: This is a filmic journey, a sort of Walter Mitty Romantic comedy. Our main character, a young woman, begins in a middle Eastern desert before jetting off to a club in Ibiza. We, discover, however that this is but a dream, a setup, for a montage sequence set in a European suburb, wherein she resolves to step up her game to finally reach her goals, which takes her, interestingly, into a dramatic ballroom dancing competition, culminating in a chance, positive meeting, with the young man she'd secretly desired all the while.

Pros: I think I detect some loop usage, but, more importantly, an almost seamless segway from one style to the next, which, in a work like this, is so important, and, IMO, not easy. Kudos on that one Doc.

Cons: None I could detect.

Suggestions: As I may have mentioned on a previous song of yours, I'd like a little more cross talk between the different genres in the work, where we come back to some themes later, or hint some of the later ones earlier. This is minor, and might even detract from the strength of the song, but still something that interests me.

Really enjoyed it Doc.

I agree with the comment on Film scoring, either that or Cinematic Soundtrack. I love the title, and I feel like it gets to that feeling after hard work when you've cooled down but the sweat just begins to get cold, freezing your skin. Just what comes to my mind. I also really like how you evolved the track with different sounds. The variety kept me interested until the end, great job (love the camel in the beginning).

Ican't still decide whether &mdash 02/29/08 - 05:01:31 AM
I like your descriptions or the music they describe best! It's always a great capturing sound adventure to listen to your... how can one call them... songs seem rather a limiting term, but I still can't find an appropriate one (we'll work on this...). Once again a very creative, complex and well structured work.

is what I felt, riding a covered wagon traveling back and forth through time.

What's up Doc? &mdash 03/08/08 - 11:52:37 AM
Really enjoyed this piece. More an art piece than straight up music, which I appreciate.
Tremendously creative.
