Like the transition in the fingerpicking from the start. Nice singing as well. Enjoy the recording of the fingerstyle music especially. Gets interesting to me when you start in the haromonization. Like how in the left hear you have the fingerpicking go down in a bass notes and a higher register it seems in the right ear of my earphones. Nice! Good job as well with the flutes. Like the ascending guitar with the flutes past the 1/2 way mark. The flutes really fits well with the fingerpicking music. This really is quite a delight in all aspects of the music. What a beauty, man this is just beautiful, lovely guitar work, reminded me a little of the who's behind blue eyes for some reason. But for me it's the singing that really sets this one off. Just an amazingly peaceful (yet not fatiguing) melody vocal, and the 'cascading colours' part holds the hook. Really excellent playing, arrangement, and production. Everything sounded perfectly balanced and mixed in my headphones and on the hi fi. cascading colours hi mark...yes...thanks for pointing me to this one. listening now. that's wade singing i'm assuming. yes he's got a real retro seventies folk thing going on (which i love). wish someone had posted lyrics...only because the harmonies aren't spot on tight so i'm missing some words. so what's the cascading colours? is it about taking acid? anyways....this is a great track. where is wade? can't you get him out of the cupboard and re-launch a career....and can i be in the band? i love that recurring acoustic bass run up at the end of each passage. did you ever get CSN comparisons to this. very much that style....lovely. why don't you try and flog it again...and i'd love to cover a version for meself. love the haunting flute end. yes...great song. thanks for pointing me to it. Thanks everyone! A few people of asked what "cascading colors" is... Not being the original author of the lyrics I can only interpret my meaning... At the time Wade wrote these lyrics he was seeing a very very pretty girl that really sparkled and when she would walk in a room it was like seeing a rainbow. Her face was full of expression, she glowed. But buried beneath the beauty were troubled waters. Often she would do things that just baffled him (and us). She made people uncomfortable and often took great delight in it. I'd like to think that the song is about Wade realizing that this girl simply wasn't for him. Check out my latest song called My 911
