that strikes me is the clarity of the recording. This really is pro quality. The playing and vocals are just perfection and bring this beautifully written song to life.

Yes, there is a bassline, however... it's all Allen. Originally, I did play bass (for the (Live) version), but when I sent it to Allen, he took what I had and revamped it to give it a sense of life.

classic power ballad. Better then anything Bon Jovi could of done. dug the drop tuning, gives depth and a cool aggression counter to the nice flatpicking acoustics.

This song was a Jason Whitman composition that i feel lucky enough to have been a part of. As usual, I was able to put my stamp on it, but I like to think this was more a great collaborative musical piece than any one person's tune. Thank you all for listening.

Catchy, Plus the lead zep feel with the singing is cool.

Enjoy the texture of the guitars, really seems like you guys did your homework with the coolness of the guitar. REally quality acoustic strums and the cool fingerpicking really makes this tune take off.

This is a very quality recording in so many ways. Like the taking the chance with those chords.
Like that open D sound and making it rock! Cool!

when I first sent the idea to Allen, the song was very rough indeed. I had it at two separate tempos, and that was a mess. I also had the verse section being played very different.
To get it where it is now took several iterations before we both were happy. Allen started playing with his acoustic and had some great and fitting accompanying parts right away. to me, those are what make the song great.
the chorus is the tricky part cuz in writing the chord progression, i veered away from any set "scale" pattern. but, i think that's why it works so well.... because it's different and "not normal"
we are very pleased with the way the song turned out. to date, it's the most involved we have both been in the writing process. Usually, it's "my song" or "Allen's song" but this time, Allen took my piece, helped to give it direction and life. Keeping the core of what the tune was, but focusing that energy into what it needed to become, if that makes sense.
I think as we progress as a unit, that will become the norm for us. We have even been using Video iChat for another tune. Each contributing riffs, taking that writing chemistry to the next level.
