Description:
Wifey wrote the lyrics about the little (12x20) Pink shed I built for her 40th birthday. Its her little retreat from the city and hustle and bustle of life, and best of all, its in our own back yard!
Lyrics:
I built a little house,
where a sleepy garden grows,
a fishpond waits, for dragonflies to come
and kiss its mirrored surface, goodnight.
I built a little fire,
on the edge of winters woods,
a tiny bit of heaven I have stole,
to burn in my heart, all winter long
just a simple little house
with no 'lectricity or phone,
its a simple little house,
with only me,
and this worn out rocking chair,
that takes me everywhere, I want to be.
I built a little world,
of my very own design,
where peace and quiet,
are the only rules to live by,
and dreaming is, the only reality.
its just a simple little house
with no 'lectricity or phone,
its a simple little house,
with only me,
and this worn out rocking chair,
that takes me everywhere, I want to be.

Thanks Gail &mdash 03/02/08 - 11:46:11 PM
My wife came up with the words, she's the gifted one with the lyrics! It was her way of telling me what she felt about the pink shed, and yes, it is pink! [ Reply to This ]
Nice &mdash 03/04/08 - 08:22:54 AM
that you added the lyrics, alot don't and I think it's a real plus when that is added. Plus, the pic really fits in with the song.
Nice transition with the guitar strumming in the right ear of my headset and the lead on the other side. Then almost centering the singing. Nice placement it seems. I know when there is no tie in it doesn't seem to work but it seems that the singing ties in, especially when hearing this not to loud.

Great sound, worth the wait. Vocal was right on, and that pickin' is superb. Great to hear from you again! The individual tracks seem to have a silky, warm feel. Nice job, RAC.
Cheers,
