Description:
Another remake of one of my bands tracks. This is one of those jam songs that sounds different every time we played it live.

Lyrics:
Rain fell just like the tears I cry
And as I wipe my eye, thoughts of you race through my head
All the things that you have said, like when you said I love you
Do you know I love you too?
When you think about me, do you think the same
Or is it only when it rains.

Tomorrow’s just another day
Everything will be OK
You’ll hear all the words I say
Like it’s just another day

Walk with me through the park on Saturday
Dance with me in a field I don’t care as long as I’m with you
It’s the way you make me feel
I’m in love and I’ve never felt so good
Cause I will be with you and you’re my honey
You’re as sweet as sweet can be
There’s nothing that I wouldn’t do to keep you close
And love you for a while every minute of every day
Let out love go until it overflows
It’ll happen, we know what to say
And I’ll say that I love you, can we be, simply we

Tomorrow’s just another day
Everything will be OK
You’ll hear all the words I say
Like it’s just another day

Glad you liked it Joseph. The title never really fit, maybe I should change it.

That's great Nick &mdash 03/03/08 - 07:35:05 AM
Rich, full and clean sound. Guitars are sensational. Singing's just as good. This is such a great rock song.
Really like when it takes off.

Thanks Dave, The guitars are definitely driving this song. Thanks for the comments on vocals especially since that is my weakest spot.

nice one &mdash 03/03/08 - 05:15:47 PM
really like the guitar work in this one. how did you get that feedback? were you using a real amp? this sounds really good. although i'm with you on the title not fitting the song. really cool though.

feedback &mdash 03/03/08 - 08:53:33 PM
Unfortunately I don't have the setup to use real amps (I do most of my recording when the kids are sleeping) The feedback sounds were done with an E-Bow. I've been trying to figure out how to get a feedback sound for a while and this seems to work OK.
Thanks for the comments!

i have an ebow, but i never thought to use it purely for a feedback sound. i too have a family and no time for real amps right now. good job.

Just Another Day &mdash 03/05/08 - 09:23:17 AM
Nice production. Your guitars are great and your vocals are strong. You have a slight James Hetfield sound to your voice.

Works for me!

I was lucky to stumble across your stuff.

Metallica &mdash 03/05/08 - 09:29:34 PM
Thanks Bob. You know its funny because I just made that connection with the voice myself a few days ago (just a little bit like Hetfield). I might try recording more of a metal song and see how it comes out. I rarely ever sing so I'm figuring this out as I go.
I'll swing by and check out some of your work tonight.

Thanks &mdash 04/19/08 - 12:03:20 AM
for swinging by davisamerica. And thanks to Lava for the plug! This is one I've wanted to get a good recording on for a while now. I like how the guitars came out. Voice is a little monotone though.
Peace

nice lyrics. heavy guitar. something about the vocals seem like they lack the emotion of the song. it sort of sounds like the words have no meaning. i think with playing it more the melody and feeling will come out more. the style is cool. the instrumental to it's great.

Yeah I agree about the vocal passion not matching the lyrics. I struggled to get these down and they ended up coming out a little flat. I'm trying to colab with some others who can help get my vision down a little better.
Thanks for the comments Chance! I'm digging your stuff too.

hey Dee - thanx for the support! The way the drums and the bass sound together is what makes me live this tune. The band must get back together!

See ya-

Great! &mdash 04/17/08 - 08:30:48 AM
WOW.. This is really good song. Your quality is great and your singing is strong and I agree that it has some of Hetfield's.. When he was young!

Thanks for sharing this song... Enjoyed every second. But I was wishing if there was some shredding with the solo but it sounded very beautiful and those harmonies with your guitar killed me. WOW Man... Congrats on this fine song!

Take Care

ditto &mdash 04/29/08 - 12:33:10 AM
Ditto on the comments about the distortion and feedback on your "amp". I'm not familiar with the Ebow, but it sounds great whatever it is. I think software amps have saved the sanity of more family men in this day and age that brew has! Keep singin' dude. This is sounding good, better and better every time. Your drums sounds are excellent. What do you use for them? Particularly the ride cymbal, very nice. Loving the long drone of this song. I can see how it turned out differently every time your band played it. Dig it.
