Description:
This is an oldie I am in the process of reviving. Hope you like the second coming.
Lyrics:
Into my world, you felllike you'd been tossed out of Heaven
and I saved you on your way to Hell.
Into my life, you came
you didn't want someone different
you were looking for the same.
You broke every vow
you broke every rule
you broke every heart
that had been sent to love you
and oh we loved you.
All of my warmth, you chilled
every last shred of hope inside me
you managed to kill
all of my strength, you sapped
well what's done is done
and now there is no turning back.
'Cause you broke every vow
you broke every rule
you broke every heart
that had been sent to love you
and oh how we loved you.
It's been a hard lesson, but I understand
next time I see someone falling
I will lower my hands...
'Cause you broke every vow
you broke every rule
you broke every heart
that had been sent to love you
you broke every vow
you broke every rule
you broke my heart
and I had been sent to love you
and oh how I loved you...
mmm mmm mmm

And I love your singing.... I'm especially enjoying your self-harmonizing and doubling... You've got that nailed down tight...
You also do a phenomenal job, especially among the ranks of home recording enthusiast singer-songwriters, of singing with real and believable dynamics...

indeed this to my recollection one of the best female singing recordings I"ve heard here at MJ. The harmonization is amazing to hear. The words are really powerful it seems. Nice backup with the guitar!

At the banquet of Life, all our experiences serve as the courses of our meal. Some are sweet, some are bitter and some are bland. We season them with our emotions and our intellect, which as we (hopefully) grow more experienced and wiser, includes more than just a dash of irony and wry.
You have a true gift, to be able to serve up your leftovers in song, to be able to make them not only palatable, but appealing.
It's always a pleasure to stop at Stacey's Heartland Diner. ;)

You have a beautiful voice and I really enjoyed this song. You are very creative, and captured the desperation of a broken heart. Sad lyrics, but unfortunate that they are so true in life. Wonderful job! Thanks for sharing this with us.

blown this to you.

You have an amazing voice. I mean really and truly. Probably one of the best female voices on MJ. Your harmonies are heavenly.
If I had one constructive criticism it would be with the guitar. It sounds a bit thin, and a little too effected with a flanger (or phaser...) For a song with only vox and acoustic, the acoustic can afford much more low end in the EQ spectrum to hold the bottom end, than if mixed into a fully orchestrated song. Just a thought.
Otherwise, color me teary-eyed.

I am a sucker of harmonies. Would love to hear a band kick in on the second verse which would further build the emotions. Very Cool. New Fan.

I've only just found your songs on MJ's. You sound as good as any signed artist you might care to mention - such a great voacl tone and sense of harmony and dynamics. Like Racerat, my only critisism woud be the guitar sound which is a bit brittle and thin. It sounds like it was recorded using a pick up maybe. It's all personal taste in the end, but I'd prefer a less processed acoustic guitar sound with a bit more depth and low end richness to it. Still a fantastic post though!
I love your singing it is really Nice Love it 10 from me.
perfect.

you've got a pretty voice. like the echo on the guitar. nice sad lyrics. this song progressively gets more emotional which i love in songs. i love the build up versus full blown emotion through out, a great track i think.
