Description:
A song using every part on my brain at once. Guitar, harmonica, singing and drums all at once! Tell me what you think.

I'd have a hard time not speeding if I was listening to this while speeding down the road. High energy indeed.

A minor nitpick is that it's sort of hard to glean the vocals from the guitar. Might just be my headphones but they seem to be sharing the same sound space and the guitar is winning out. Perhaps goosing the vocals with eq or a simmering down the fuzz a touch might help.

All the same, it's a great tune!

thanks &mdash 03/04/08 - 01:00:33 PM
yeah the vocals are a little low. I used this home made mic that I attached to my harmonica holder to make playing and singing a little easier. I will re-record this song in the future.

think its worthy &mdash 03/04/08 - 04:34:46 PM
to make a re-record of this one...like the speedy track and the harp is beautiful...this deserves a better take...!

heck yes! &mdash 03/05/08 - 02:09:36 PM
I want to record a whole bunch of my music in a studio or with someone else doing the recording. I want to lay it down live off the floor on analog tape if possible. Hard to overdub or punch things in when you are playing everything all at once.

Well! &mdash 03/05/08 - 01:04:34 PM
This is as raw and live as blues gets. I agree with Jack, it does remind me of rolin' and tumblin. Its cool that you can hold everything together and get through this. How did you record it? Any chance you would multi track it?
Thanks,
Stephen

hey &mdash 03/05/08 - 02:18:29 PM
I will have to find out about rollin & tumblin. As for the recording, I think I used mics on the drums, and ran the guitar and vocals into my four track then straight into the mac. I would love to record my music with someone that has nice gear!!! Live off the floor is how I want to do it so that it resembles a live performance. thanks for the love

i totally agree. people here are very kind, but sometimes i'll get the "less noise please" comments. that's the whole point.

Reminds me of "The White Stripes" in sound, style, delivery and vibe.Enjoyed all the rich rawness of this one.

This has great potential! Great song. I would also love to hear this with a cleaner recording. I love the style you have here.

glad you like it! &mdash 03/07/08 - 04:02:13 PM
I will be re-recording this in the future. Not too sure if I will record it clean though. The guitar will definitely be cleaner but the vovals and harmonica will probably stay the same. thanks again

Wild... &mdash 03/07/08 - 04:00:44 PM
wild stuff in a very good way. That guitar and harmonica lead the intro driving you into an indie rock rooted in the blues tradition. Very good job!

great tune! &mdash 03/10/08 - 10:28:28 AM
i here a lot of blues/punk (kinda in the lines of white stripes) fusion here. great, and i mean great, rawness one this one. i believe this is how this one should sound. it's like the difference between an old LP and an CD...you just don't get that warm natural feeling from the CD. i'd still listen to a cleaner version, but i think it would lose a lot of the feeling the grittiness gives this. very well done, can't wait for more! love your stuff man!

thanks age. I want to re-record this but have it sound the same. I just want the levels to be worked out a little better and maybe just a little more cleamliness on the guitar. But overall the same sound. Thanks again

High energy &mdash 03/10/08 - 12:50:38 PM
Easy on those jugs of coffee mate.
Like it for it's raw energy and driving pace
Who cares about production values when it kicks ass!!

Gosh! &mdash 03/12/08 - 07:38:32 PM
This makes Iggy Pop and the Stooges sound MOR!

Really frantic stuff - lots of potential - I think it would benefit from a bit of refinement recording wise but I like the energy you've captured - not for the faint-hearted! Great playing.

Peter
