Description:
Thought I better write one of my own....

Lyrics:
BEYOND THE FOREST.

I really need to find a flower
That grows beyond the snow-line.
Where lies the spirit of the mountain
So I can fetch it home for thee.

And if I could row a river
To carry us through space and time.
Someplace where we may never shiver
Where the only ghosts are you and me.

I need to see a glistening ocean
And taste the salty cobalt sea.
Perchance to dream upon her motion
Under the stars and drifting free.

Beyond the forest lies a fountain
Where we could find eternity.
Twelve hundred guitars playing grandly
A million singers calling thee.

But of course it’s all a daydream
The fantasy of a searching heart.
Lost in transit heading nowhere
Following some ancient chart.

Some great guitar work in here, Dennis. Really nice flow... bit of a country feel. Sweet stuff. Still love that 12-string sound. ;)

You wrote in the song

"But of course it%u2019s all a daydream
The fantasy of a searching heart.
Lost in transit heading nowhere
Following some ancient chart."

Not all a daydream ... it is all too real as long as there are people with your talent writing songs this good.

"Tommy Garrett .. &mdash 03/09/08 - 10:46:20 PM
.. and his hundred (?) guitars" - an album my parents had.

I like the stuff you write better than your other songs Dennis. Great playing and singing. Production seems even better than usual.

Live drums? Would like to hear more bass in the mix, but no other nits.

Cheers,
Neil

I really enjoy the shiny electric guitar sounds you get, you bring out the quality in the guitar in that style that is superb! Plus the Willy Nelson intune singin with a nice country folk sound that is delightful.

Your tunes I've enjoyed, you have a tremendous gift of bringing back a special place in time of that 12 string rickenbacker sound that I so much enjoy.

You have been a delight in my enjoyment of soft rock. Just putting in the right sounds like a soft rock chef! Great use of the lead guitar, not to loud , so well done. Just like the ventures, you put in special placed licks etc.

What strumming at the end YA
