Hello musichead Thanks for listening and commenting. I appreciate your feedback. I guess I should have explained what the piece was about. I'd just come home from a great three day festival called "Southbound" and felt compelled to put together something that represented the whole weekend. Magic Matt Tho' this a fairly difficult piece to listen to without the film reel,so to speak,it is still a good example of what it is,i.e. a soundtrack.And it is damned well produced,played and composed. But have you noticed ? Despite lack of feedback and comments it has had 7 downloads !!Bizarre, I have had a similar thing on my page with two tracks "No Vice" and "Eastern Surprise"(not a shameless plug,no,non,nein,njet)and I wonder if the genre Cinematic Soundtrack is the kiss of death for some music ,in some way rendering people either not to listen or not admitting to listen.I dunno,it's odd. I listened to your piece. First of all-I'm quite shure that at Macjams we all are songwriters and it is a place for everyone to contribute their musical creativity. So, creativity is being spoken here.
I think your piece is well crafted technically speaking. The critique I have is that melody is missing from it. You jump from one sound to the next without any thread or theme or melody running through it.
Listen to your favorite soundtrack song and "listen" to what makes it great.....
You're on the right track....
