Description
Remixed slightly per Mcboy's suggestion (sax track tamed a bit, guitar brought up a tad). Story: iG.STUDiO: I just bought a pair of noise-canceling headphones and decided to play something into GB just to check the output volume (the pair I had before was sounding too soft - I could barely hear the tracks, it was very difficult to solo over), so I ended up recording the first sax track - one take out of the blue :{). I didn't even think I had a rhythm in my head... Then I added two more tracks just to fill the space. After listening to the tune, I added the string chord at the end just to make it stronger. That's it...
Scorpjammer: I fell in love with (to my surprise) iG's sound check as
soon as I heard it. I felt it had potential as a real cool,
sultry, jazz ballad piece, and proceeded to lay down
the GB Ballad bass and drum work, substituted GB's
hi-hat cymbal tap with a single shaker for a more
brushed hi-hat sound....cymbal tap was too hard
sounding. I worked a few breaks into the tune to
bring out iG's magnificent sax work and threw in my
guitar solo - a beefed up jazz sounding Fender strat
(if you can believe it), using GB's effects. To wrap it
up, I repeated iG's tune - which iG subtly enhanced
with more of his unique playing - but, this time
taking it to his original ending where it is joined by
the bass, drums and (Am9 harmonic slapping) guitar.
