Description:
The final track on our (Risen Son) CD. Mixed but not yet mastered. After fighting to master...um...mastering, I'm throwing in the towel and having it done professionally. I humbly think we have pretty decent material and we want it to sound better than I can make it on my own. Anyway, this song is based on a Veggie Tales video about self-worth, and how God sees us vs. how the world may see us...and which one really matters.
Lyrics:
I never made you to be
Anyone else
So why are you trying to be
Somebody else
Take how the world may see you
And throw it away
That's not the way I see you
Despite what they say
Out of the dust and into
A child of my hand
Out of the dark
And into the light where I stand
And there you will shine
All around
The course of your life may not be
What you had planned
You have a uniqueness to you
That comes from My hand
Yes, I have made you to bring
Pleasure to Me
Rejoice in the gifts I give you
Whatever they be
Out of the dust and into
A child of my hand
(x3)
Out of the condemnation
From your fellow man
I'll reach through your pain to touch you
Healing your scars
I'm always near to you
Even when it feels far
I'll always walk beside you
And love you for who you are
For nobody else can know you
The way that I do
Out of the dust and into
A child of my hand
Out of the dark
And into the light where I stand
Remember the gifts I gave you
Remember the way I see you
Remember I'm always there with you

The standards for cd mastering must be pretty tough. This sounds very sharp to me.
Thanks

Thanks! This is actually a dry mix right out of Pro Tools. I had been using Ozone to master (boost volume, add sparkle, etc), but what I was getting was a little too fatiguing on the ears (too overcooked, muddy, saturated...something), no matter what I tried. We're shooting for radio play, at least locally, so we think it'll be worth it to get it done right. Thanks for the listen! [ Reply to This ]
