Description:
Amadeus posted an unfinished intrumental song 1 minute long and a verse and chorus of very simple pop lyrics.

He was looking for a specific kind of singer whose style fits the song. I wasn't particularly impressed with the saccharine lyrics, but the soundbed was crystal clear and the beat and rhythm of this song was as catchy as can be. I thought it would be fun to make something out of this snippet one afternoon. I expanded the song to more than three minutes and gave it the Backstreet Boys treatment :-) I created the melody and added some strings, fill-in drums and a few percussions. I thought it turned out pretty good. After completion, I then thought the lyrics sounded just right for the pop flavor of this song.

The music is copyrighted property of Amadeus, which he intends to enter in a German music competition.

... Leon ... I too listened to this tune and had an entirely different take on it ..... but WOW man .... now my version just .. well ... just sux ... hahahaha you need to go away now ! You are putting me to shame ! As usual ... your ability to toss in those multi tracks and make them all just BLEND like magic is just THAT ... MAGIC ! I wish you could come to my house ... set up my gear properly ... and teach me a mixing trick or two .... (I'll bring the dog) ..... nice job my friend ... now I gotta get your superb version outta my head before I get drunk enough tonight to tinker with this tune myself ....

Thanks for dropping by to listen... Why do we seem to be drawn to the same songs a lot of times? Haha! I think we have the same taste, so I am pleased to know that. Just different styles but we have an appreciation for the same beauty when we see one.

I certainly would be interested to hear your version. I am not competing, I made that clear to Amadeus. I did it for the fun, and if he wanted my voice on it, great. If not, that's his decision, but I really had great fun with this.

As for the mixing, I think you know more than you think. I don't do anything magical with my vocal mixing... I just follow my instincts. Thanks for the effusive praise. Same goes from me to you! :-)

And this lovely lyrics goes right in to my heart... It's so close my life I have right now... A life I really enjoy, to be close to my love and woke up together is for me a dream who come true.

For you to even think of writing a song for me to sing on is quite an honor. I have actually repeatedly thought of asking you to play guitar on even one of my songs, but you know I am such a fan of yours that I felt too shy to ask. Now that you've opened up the possibility, I will definitely ask you when the opportunity comes. With your guitar skills and my singing style, a soaring ballad with a Spanish or RnB style arrangement might seem fitting.

I knew when i first herd this it was a perfect Leon bed. You really mixed it up nicely. Your voice sounds fantastic. I think you've captured the POP element perfectly. Just like the original Amadeus track expressed. Nice job

your vocal talents become more obvious, Leon. From the very beginning I could hear the potential and am so glad to monitor your progress.

While you DO have a great set of pipes, as Mcboy points out, what really makes your performances shine is the passion that you imbue in them... and that is where your passion finds its most productive home.

Really nice job on extrapolating a feel for Amadeus' instrumental and emerging with this dynamic performance. ;)

In my opinion the lyrics and the vocaling around is very good but ..... I think you can improve the sound of the percussion. Just my opinion.

This is indeed very, very good! As I already told Leon, it's more than I'd ever expected when I posted the playback. Although this is a complete different melody than stated :-) You're definitly a hot candidate for the final mixdown. But Alannah, I really would like to hear your interpretation as well.

You've worked a small miracle on this. Clear backing though.

What an amazing voice you have - excellent vocal and brilliant harmonies - you sure have nailed the Backstreet Boys style. I'd usually avoid listening to this style, but I'm hanging around because it's just so stunning - you have severe talent my friend!
