Description
This is my entry in Feter's WoodstockMJ Festival - and I'm proud to be a part of it. I'm sorry to say that although I was at Woodstock (at the tender age of 15) with my brother Will - I remember less about the music than I do about the Hog Farm commune that set up a kitchen in the woods (see picture) complete with tree swings and naked children - and fed me when the concessions ran out of food - or the lines were too long.
This song is less in the style of the times and more in the spirit - while reflecting a bit of today as well I hope.
Thanks to Feter for putting this idea together.
Woodstock MJ
Peace

Lyrics
Everyone’s looking
For someone with the answers
Who can lighten our hearts
And turn the world around
People are waiting
People are wiating
People are waiting
for a change to come
The pain and the srtruggle
Just seems too much to bear
Peace is so fragile
On this cold cold ground
It’s time to stop waiting
Let’s start believing
That a new day is dawning
Wipe the clouds from the sun
There’s peace if you want it
Just imagine a future
Where our children are brothers
In a world that is one
People are waiting
People are wiating
People are waiting
for a change to come
Just ask your neighbor
If you can do something
To lighten his load
Cause we’ve just begun
It’s time to stop waiting
Let’s start believing
That a new day is dawning
Wipe the clouds from the sun

... definitely captured the Woodstock feeling here .... wonder whatever happened to my tye dyed jeans with the peace signs on them, my peasant skirt and those leather thongs (they call them flip flops now) with the strap that went "around" your big toe instead of between it and the next toe .... oh .... maybe there is more of the Woodstockness rubbing off on me here ... I feel dizzy
