Mystical-remix

Description
This is a remix of the original version that is also posted on my artists page. The first one was done by OliviaFrancis (TurquoiseRos from iCompositions) by just laying the vocal track on top of and already mixed instrumental.

Olivia sent me her vocal tracks separately and on this one I went in and mixed the vocals in with all the other tracks and then tweaked all the tracks to try and get the vocal to fit into the mix instead of on top of it.

You will have to be the judge as to whether I did a good job on it or not, cause my ears are on fire from listening to it all day for the last several days.

Hope you enjoy the new mix a lot better than the old one.

Thanks in advance for those of you that can bear to listen to both of them, as well as all of you who come to hear it for the first time.

Thanks

Ed

Mystical

Your love, your love, your love is mystical
Your love, your love, your love is....is
All I need, all I need, yeah! all I need, all I need
Your love, your love...Baby....Baby

OH! I feel you deep inside...mystical
I can feel you deep inside, not material
It's your love, your love
(gimme, gimme, gimme gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme)
(gimme, gimme, gimme gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme) mystical
Your love...your love... your love...your love, mystical

OH! (gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme)
(gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme)

Your love, your love is... mystical
Your love, your love....is
Your love, your love is... mystical
Your love, your love....is

Fascination

Your love is mystical,
lyrical

Mystical, not material
I can feel you deep inside

Thank you Feter
I really appreciate you taking time to listen again, and I was wondering whether you thought this mix was actually better than the original I posted.

Anyway, thanks again for coming over and listening, you comments and kind words are always a pleasure to see.

Be well my friend

Sweet
All your stuff is amazing. This is so tight and the mix is great.

Your pic of M42 and Running Man is upside down! (Well I guess that depends upon where you are. I'm just used to seeing it flipped vertically). That's my fav object in the night sky. That and M16.

Thanks Mark
I spent the better part of 2 days redoing this one, mostly because I was learning about the new program I'm using.

I just bought a copy of Logic Express 8 along with the new iMac and it's taking some getting used to. It's a lot different in some ways than the other DAW's I've used. Not in what it can do so much, although it can do more than the older ones, but in how you go about doing the things that used to come so natural on the other ones.

Thanks for the very kind words Mark, they are very much appreciated. And yes I too am very fond of the Orion and Eagle Nebula. Two of the best sites through my old Meade 8" Schmit Cassigrain. I'm thinking the reason this appears upside down, is that it was taken by the Hubble, and never turner around and righted before it was posted. Not to sure about that though.

Thanks again Mark, and be well my astronomical friend

Very cool
Very nice singing and lyrics and the music it sits on is brilliant esp like the digi sounds. Cool guitar playinf that goes well with the singing. Very cool track

Thanks Keith
Glad you found something to like here. Spent a lot of time reworking and remixing but I think the results are worth it.

The Didgeridoo was a afterthought. I wanted a pad under the rest of it and hit on the idea of using it instead of a synth pad of some kind. When I listened to it after I added it I knew I'd made a great choice for this particular song.

Anyway. thanks again for the kind words, Be well Chris and keep on making and listening to the music.

Ed

Ooops
Sorry about that. Not only did I post it twice, but I somehow got the wrong name. My humble apologies to you Keith. It's bad enough I made the mistake on you name my friend, but then to compound it with the double post is ...

Thanks again for the kind words Keith, they really are appreciated.

Thanks Dick
I was hoping you'd say that. I spent a good bit of time on it, partly because of my unfamiliarity with Logic and partly because I wanted it to be just right.

Glad you found the final version better and not to over the top.

Thanks again Dick, I appreciate you're coming back to the party for a second listen. Be well my friend

Thanks Bob
I've been a Space Cadet 1st Class all my life, no sense denying it now.

Thanks for the nice comments Bob, I'll pass them on to Olivia next time I talk to her, you can be sure.

Glad you enjoyed this, but as I've said, the glory goes to Olivia for turning an instrumental exercise into a real honest to God song. All I did was sit at the back of the stage pickin' the guitar with the rest of the band and watch her go for it.

Take care my New York City friend

Ed

Cool.

loved this song what a lovely voice and the mix sounded just right to my ears. The guitar was good too. loved the lyrics as well. Thanks

Peace Dee.

Thank you Dee
I'm really glad you came to the dance tonight and enjoyed the band. I had a lot of fun doing this and Olivia is quite a singer/songwriter. She did a beautiful job putting the lyrics together and singing the vocals and harmonies. After that, all I did was mix it into my instrumental track to make this song.

Thank's again for you very kind words, and for listening.

Be well and stay cool. Peace

Listened several times
and it gets better each time.. didn't pick up the didgeridoo until the third time... great call! It's so much depth and really enhances the bottom.

Excellent mix and very cool song!

PS- if you like Didgeridoo based music check out Xavier Rudd... pretty cool stuff!

Thanks Adam
There is a lot going on in this piece that originally started out as a exercise I wanted to do to familiarize myself with Logic Express. I had just installed Logic and was chomping at the bit to try it out. This song is the result of my first try using Logic Express, and then sending the results to Olivia Francis (TurquoiseRose on iCompositions). She sent me the vocal tracks and I mixed them into the song that was original called "Logical First Step". It's also posted here as an instrumental.

Thanks for taking time to listen to it, and for the kind words Adam, they are very much appreciated.

Be well my friend

Now it works
Hi Ed

You managed to pull it all together now. Turned out to be a great song with good guitar play in it too. Nicely arranged.

One step further. Continue on that road. Just my advice.

Regards Claus

You input and comments are always welcome, and I really do appreciate the comments you sent me in the message.

I am glad you liked the way this turned out. I put quite a bit of effort into remixing this song and the feedback is always very helpful.
