Description:
This was an impromptu jam session from the summer of 1969 as I was getting ready for a small gathering that was to take place in upstate New York. But there was this guy from Miami that had been touring the country taking everybody by storm by opening with a song called Raining Bows http://www.macjams.com/song/40920. Needless to say I was replaced and the rest is history. We met up many years later at something call MacJams where history is still being made today.

Hardware:
Ibanez JS1200 Guitar, Fulltone Deja-Vibe and PreSonus Blue Tube Preamp

Software:
Logic 8 Studio, Guitar Rig 3, BFD Drums and Izotope Ozone 3 for mastering

separated at birth is my guess. I know Robin Trower didn't play at woodstook, but thats what I hear channeled here. That and of course Hendrix :-) Way big sound on the Axe my friend. I would gladly endure the crowds and mud to listen to this!

Truly excellent tune &mdash 03/21/08 - 01:10:13 PM
I love the bass and drums backing - but that guitar man is out of sight. Cool image too. This festival is getting really hot.

What I love about Robin Trower... &mdash 03/22/08 - 09:03:22 AM
...and what I loved about Band of Gypsies... is the way that the guitar playing is supported by a very solid bass and drum combination... I often found the Experience a bit "busy"...

So here I really appreciate that aspect... After which there's all the cool electric guitar floating over the top...

Excellent &mdash 03/22/08 - 06:36:08 PM
Trower would be proud. You've got the tone down pat. Great chops as usual. Love the fat strat tone, good sustain, excellent vibrato technique. The leads have good structure. Ended a little too soon, I want more! This bridge didnt leave me with a sigh. (sorry, I couldnt resist). . .

Thanks Norman &mdash 03/24/08 - 05:42:25 PM
And to all that showed up for the second day of festivities. Because we can't post covers here and I didn't want to try and pull of a Hendrix thing, I decided to rob from one of my favorites, Robin Trower. It was a Woodstock theme but hey close enough.
