Description:
Song written/sung by XNovemberX (Drakonis' daughter): This song is about failure in communication and not being able to trust people who want to help you. It's something I haven't really had too many problems with before, but now one of my friends and I are going through some difficulty in this area. I wrote this song for her.
Lyrics:
Trust...
It's called trust.
When I give you my hand,
Will you grab it?
When I give you my heart,
Will you take it?
Please...
Believe in me.
No second chances,
Where we may.
The question is:
When you fall,
Do you fall with grace?
Trust...
It's called trust.
It's called trust.
Will you trust me with your life?
Or are you hanging onto your spite?
Trust...
It's called trust.
Trust...
It's called trust.

Very creative &mdash 03/23/08 - 05:50:17 PM
Your vocal style in this is very unique and pretty. You have a great voice and I was wishing the musical backing volume wa a bits lower in the middle, so I could hear you more. Clever use of loops and great panning. You, go, girl! :-) [ Reply to This ]

You have a wonderful voice. This is a great song. I relate 150% to this song. Trust is a hard thing to have sometimes when it comes to growing up and just with life in general. It can be very painful to trust and just as painful "not to" Very cool song. Thanks so much for sharing it with us. [ Reply to This ]

The song itself is quite in order, but I particularly like your use of unusual sounds in the accompaniment. That lifts it up above a simple voice & guitar song.

I "get" the poem but I can't understand any of the words in the song, so I am wondering, I guess, "why"? It's an interesting song and your voice is full of an ethereal strength. I just couldn't understand any of it. To me, a song is an instrumental or a vocal. When it's a vocal, the words must be the focus.

wow ..... &mdash 03/24/08 - 01:02:41 AM
.... was that reverb and echo ???? heh heh .... ask your dad about that .... I liked the etheral feel of the floating vocals and the mood of the tune .... I could partly echo what was said earlier ... but I would re-word it to say ... that you could quite likely ADD a strong lead vocal over top of the floating panned vocals and throw a stronger image out there ..... and take this track to a whole new dimension .... I have also added some multi-tracked floating vocal tracks behind some of the stuff I have done but I also seem to like the lead vocal telling the story and the floating vocals to echo and add validity to the lead ... am I making sense? I think you are doing a fabulous job ... and totally get where you are going with your musical style! [ Reply to This ]

1st off ... some of the best ever voice manipulation i have ever heard ... next here goes ... see alannah's comment .. merit there ... a voice over would work wonderfully here and this is too short ... a gem under feed...
so expand ... add ... and make this the musical gem it deserves ... wow ... did that feel weird. seriously my friend ... very cool tune as is and you are amazing. [ Reply to This ]

I liked the topic of this song (I wrote one called 'humble') --interesting how such a simple term can contain such a HUGE array of simple complexities! Great composition, catchy sound! Good job panning! It's a short song that ALL people can relate to! [ Reply to This ]

This Song??? &mdash 07/06/08 - 09:22:51 PM
Heheheh, I appreciate your compliments! Truth be told, I am not actually very fond of this song. I put too much reverb on it, (is there ever too much reverb? apparently so.) and it did not turn out as "wonderful" as my first MacJams post, "Valentine." But, as with all the lyrics I come up with, this one has sentimental value, so it hasn't jumped off the cliff that is my hard drive just yet. :) I appreciate all critique as well, so don't feel guilty about telling me what I need to fix! It can only get better :) I had to download your song. It was beyond awesome. I mean, it could have been on the waiting list for Valhalla! Thanks again!
