You have a very nice song here and a very nice voice to sing it (and with conviction), though as Godchaser says it would be nice to have a guitar playing instead of or as well as the synth backing or maybe keyboard piano. I really like it and the Lyrics are great, regards M Check out my latest song called Come Back Billie

good song good song, good lyrics, as stated before in other comments, the mix is a bit off and a piano or guitar would sound nice. That having been said good overall performance. Check out my latest song called I'm In Love...With You

I love the lyric in this. I hear this fleshed out and produced and being a hit. This is really well well written. For your first attempt at garage band you did Ok, and I am pretty sure this is you playing too. John you are a pretty decent player if this is you on the guitars. When you get a better handle on production you should play more It's the only way to get better. Great lyric !!! Check out my latest song called Last Day Here

I would love to hear this again after some mixing issues are worked out.Above all else, your vocals are very dry and overpower the overall mix.Being your first attempt and style of the piece,I personally would record this using just a guitar or two and layering a second vocal to fatten it all up,without using all the extra sound sources.Simple as possible! The lyrics and songwriting are solid, but the poor mix will cause most to not listen for long.Just a thought.
Blessings,
