Genre Shmenre. Melodic bass is really hot here, like it A Lot. Also like what you are doing on with the vibes. Drums are a little more mechanical than your usual effort, is this what you intended?
Thanks

Vibes'n'Bass &mdash 03/25/08 - 11:12:05 PM
The vibes I actually played live on my PowerBook's keyboard and then I quantized them and did all that good post-production MIDI cheating. The bass track is one take and a handful of goodies from Logic's effects bag.
The drums were supposed to be a bit mechanical, but I'll go back and listen to it again. I wasn't intending for that to be the focus. The drum'n'bass section is definitely supposed to sound like a drum machine.
Thanks for the close listen,

Beauitiful stately pace and grace &mdash 03/26/08 - 10:01:11 PM
to this one. I love the circuit dialog type thing in the beginning and the Aphexy drumming is excellent. All around this is a great listen and one of my faves from you. It's good having you back on the scene. [ Reply to This ]

It's good to be back on the scene.

great night music. has a labradford-feel to me. sort of cinematic. well-balanced sounds, top production. but believe me, my friend: you write 'hassen' with a double-s ! [ Reply to This ]

it's hassen, eh? My German teacher did me wrong all those years ago. Alas! Thanks for the correction Timo, also thanks for stopping by to listen and comment.

your diversity is inspring &mdash 04/28/08 - 08:41:21 PM
It seems like you can step in and out of genres without a flinch. While I'm not always keen on 100% of what you create, I just love the fact that you are so versatile. Some lovely bass playing and very nice pacing as mentioned above.
