Description
This one has been through a few generations, but I think this is as good as it is going to get. Tanya did a nice job on the vocals and it has a strangely alternative feel for such a pop song. As always, comments on the mix is appreciated.

A Night to Unwind

Lyrics: Tanya Zimmerman
Music: Rich Huston, Chris Winters

Searching for another way, I need new sensation
Looking far beyond today, some relaxation

Oh oh take me there,
I'll leave without a care,
Someone take me there

To set my longing free, to face reality
Reveal what I can't find, on a night to unwind
Make sense of what I feel, to touch and know it's real
Ease my weary mind, on a night to unwind

Searching for a grander stage, pulling back the curtain
Far beyond an empty cage, can I know for certain

Oh oh take me there,
I'll leave without a ca re,
I'll be waiting there

Solo

Set my spirit free, embrace reality
Reveal what's truly mine, on a night to unwind
Believe what I can feel, to touch and know it's real
Ease my weary mind on a night to unwind

Nice track
I like the bass, very nice sound and lovely melodic playing throughout. Some very nice guitar sounds on here too, and, of course, great vocal. The song has an ethereal feel that's grounded nicely by the bass and drums. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Wow
Your mixing has come on leaps and bounds.... you've certainly leap frogged me. Great guitar and bass work (like, what else) and really sweet vocal. i cant decide whether I like the snare or not... jury's out at the moment!

Cracking track guys

the frog test
I have a tough time believing I have leap-frogged you. I still use Smiles as a reference track for sound and volume to compare tracks against. The drums are a little strange on this one. I had a standard drum sound on it, but it was boring me. Sounded kinda cheesy, so I just went for something weird.
