Description:
Hey. This is sort of a tribute to Jeff Healey, who sadly passed away not long ago.... He was in my opinion one of the finest blues/rock guitarists out there, and he was a great inspiration to me! So, this is an insrtumental tribute to him....maybe I will make it longer i'm not sure about that...tell me what you think.

Enjoyed this!!! &mdash 03/27/08 - 12:30:06 PM
I too am a Healey fan. I stumbled upon this, and thought what the hell maybe this guy can play, and WOW can you ever, you sure have some chops son. I like the sound too, it has a combination Jimmy/Jeff feel to it. I think if you compress the drums a bit you will have much tighter sound the guitar sounds awesome the way it is, the bass might stand a little more bottom end. I just go by what I hear so, it's only my opinion lol. It's a killer track bro I'm going back in to listen to the rest of your stuff

Well &mdash 03/29/08 - 08:12:27 AM
Thanks, appreciate. Allways good to get some constructive crticism. :) The drums and the bass are allways the problem when I record, cause they are not real....but they still work ok...they get the job done. Anyways, thanks!

Jeff Healey &mdash 03/27/08 - 12:32:31 PM
I jammed with Jeff at Brancos Tavern in Toronto when he wasn,t even old enough to drink. He was a talented kid then who grew into an even more talented adult. He had a great sense of humor and loved to talk music. His unorthodox playing style made him notable , but his talent made him memorable.Jeff could play both "on top and regular" styles. He intimidated the hell out of me with his ability but made me feel at home with his personality. We have lost a real talent, and for those who didn't know him personally, you would have liked him. Thanks Gerry.

I never even got the chance to meet him before he died. He was supposed to play here in Denmark and I was planning on going to the concert but it got cancelled when he got sick.... He will be missed!

Great Blues &mdash 03/28/08 - 01:25:25 PM
You got an amazing guitar style with the kind of temper like Jimmi Hendrix.

Heard your different songs and like your blues style and especially the technic & guitar sound you produce.

Ser frem til at hre noget mere ... Ogs i den grad.

Bedste hilsner Claus

Jeps &mdash 03/29/08 - 08:12:03 AM

Snakkes.

Hilsen Claus

Yeah it is a little inspired by some SRV/Hendrix kind of stuff. But yeah, I have found my own style now. :D Thanks!

Smokin! &mdash 03/31/08 - 12:33:00 PM
Sounds like you got into quite the groove there, especially at the end.

Great tone you are getting. It's mostly in the fingers, but do I detect the distinct growl of some Texas Special pickups there?

Fun to listen to, Jeff would have approved. No one could make a guitar sound quite the way he could, but I can hear his influence in your playing. Well done!

Healey really had a special tone and way of playing. He was truly an amazing guitarist! And yeah he has definately been a great influence to me aswell as hendrix and SRV! Anyways, thanks.

to be said for the chromatic scale, a single coil pickup and some genuine emotion all layed out on some jumbo frets. great tune. alot of feeling in those notes. great post.
