some parts of the guitar remind me of an edgier pink floyd. i definitely like the guitar work and it has good style to it.
dlb
Scream' kind comments.

dlb
Mark i'm glad you liked it!

Though the piece feels a tad disjointed in spots the overall mood and delivery is note worthy. The closing minutes of guitar work you've layed down here and the energy released is really powerful.A loose beginning but a very solid finish. If you could harness the spirit that you have in the last minute of the piece and carry it over throughout.....wow!

Daniel, good advice, yeah a bit sloppy, that's me i'm afraid! I'm trying harder all the time to actually finish these songs better. I'm just lazy! hahaha thanks.

solid song dave. really smooth sound. especially like the solo section and the outro, which kinda reminds me of The Who. well done!
dlb
Ridd, yes there is a certain Pete Townshend thing going on at the end! ;-)

Some nice guitar work here, and some nice changes. Good groove and a nice dramatic ending. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

how did you record this? the guitars sound so nice. does kind of remind me of the who (some of the chord voicings), but not at all classic rock. really nice job. sloppy is cool with me, i'm a big practitioner of slop myself. i prefer to refer to it as "character."
dlb
Michael, in answer to your question: The guitar parts were recorded using a line6 podxt live pedalboard, really cool effects and it retains the guitars natural tones to some extent. The guitar used was a Washburn KC70 not my first choice but my fav is at the repair/custom shop at the moment! :-( the line 6 was connect to Cubase SX3 software via a tascam US144 usb interface. How's that?! hope that answers your questions.
rocker Fly Away, yeah.... Cool guitars and bass line is rich, kit sounds great, too
