Description:
this was written in about 20 minutes. i just started writing and the words came out. than i found a melody that worked and made a symple chord progression to fit it so i could get it down. i started off recording it all seperately so i could add a melody guitar and gradually chizel it into something but half way through recording my battery in my guitar started dying and made it sound really loud and screwed up. i wanted my friend to at least hear it sung so i recorded it with just a mic. the melody to one of the last verse type things is going to be a little different i sort of forgot what i had in my head while i was playing it. this will have more guitars and such added to it when i get a battery for my guitar.

Lyrics:
if i can't see does it matter at all
the world just passes by
if i don't feel would it matter at all
you stab me in the heart

for every night lost
that never felt so right
i've fallen to far
to find what i have lost

one day you'll see
it all comes crashing down
when you hear that song again
an old familiar sound

die die my darling
because my heart's so cold
die die my darling
because i love you so

we'll never make it now
upon this earth we walk u
so come and take my hand
where devil's sigh and angel's die

die die my darling
and take me with you
die die my darling
because i miss you

i'll die because i miss you
die because i need you
never breath my heart again
tell me what you wanted

this midnight crisis never fails
to bring me down again
the clock ticks slowly by
another spark to loneliness

Sad song &mdash 03/27/08 - 01:02:59 PM
But clean playing and sung too... It's just one thing it is growl in my headphones... Maybe you fix that part later when you do the finally song.

growl? was it making weird fuzzy noises or something? prolly will be elimated when i can record everything seperate. could be because i had to raise the volume export it and import it to raise the volume more a few times since i cant figure out how to make it past a certain ammount higher on cakewalk. thanks for the comment. shall prolly pick up a battery tomorrow on my way out the door from work. than shall record this tomorrow or this weekend.

nice one &mdash 03/28/08 - 02:50:35 PM
i love a fast, rough and tumble recording session. the songs seem so much more honest to me when they are just thrown down. like the song, like your voice, like the whole thing. on a side note, i didn't hear any growling when i listened to it, but it was a bit on the quiet side. no big whoop, i just cranked my speakers. nice job.

thank you &mdash 03/28/08 - 02:56:29 PM
ahh yes it did take a bit to even pump the volume as much as it was. thanks for the comment. i did hear the "growl" ish when i listened to it earlier with headphones tho a little on the louder parts but glad you didn't hear it and glad you enjoyed. the best things come out of half an hour jam sessions.

Very emotional. &mdash 03/28/08 - 03:22:00 PM

Hi Chance I really it felt it for you for sure. Your heart was in pain and this woman has made you blind to all reason and this is what has happened .
Does this make sense. I love off the cuff records the best

In my humble opinion the truest- most powerful- emotions and feelings are the result / hence wonderful music creations are born.

I am not a singer but it works with my Garage Band.Instruments when the spirit moves me I try to move emotionally my software and real instruments too and the fanatstic buzz I get is truly unimaginable
but not to a ' Musician ' !!!
Peace Dee xx Thanks for the nice chat too.

thank you dee &mdash 03/28/08 - 03:51:50 PM
thanks for the comment. and you're welcome for the chat. apparently i haven't fallen asleep yet. i've found that music is often better when i forget the musician part of me and pretend i know nothing about music. than we stop listening for every out of tune note, and every little error and let the song impact us for what it is. on a funny side note the song that the chorus on this was most inspired by was actually a song that reminds me of the ex before the girl it was about (die die die my darling by the misfits)

Comment?? Advice...its a good thing to just let the whole song come out..Then edit it down...its works great.. I use it.. I use about 20 different angles and then
edit it down to 3-4 mins. This is a very good song...Keep it up!!

Look who's back! &mdash 03/31/08 - 02:21:14 AM
Chance, wow, what a pleasant surprise to see you back here and sharing your music with the rest of us again. I can really discern the vast improvement in your vocals.. more assured and more confident and more conviction! Really great to have you back as you are one of those that have enlivened this site in the earlier days.

I love this song... emotional and not diverging from the usual sad and dark themes of your previous songs. I think, the only thing you may wanna try more is adding a central chorus or coda to your song structure, just so to break the melodic pattern.

Hope you hang around here more often like you used to. How's life in college these days. Hope to meet you in one of your live performances one day, if you still are performing live on the side.

nice to see you &mdash 03/31/08 - 02:47:38 AM
hey what's up? i'm not in college just working full time. i was planning on recording this one all seperate when my guitar battery died so i could do things to break it up and gradually chizel it. i got a battery tonight so yay. i havent performed since i moved sadly, but i'm working on recording my cd so once i get myself to finish it i will probably start trying to play live again. just sort of went into hibernation for the winter, but spring is bringing back my motivation a little bit. i shall be around more now, i forgot about this site sorta once i moved cuz i was sort of on limbo for a while.
