Description:
Here comes an instrumental. I'm really facinated by the soundscapes and atmosphere of traditional Indian and Middle Eastern music. It's just something stunningly beautiful, yet kind of daunting with it that really appeals to me.

Here is my attempt to make something remotely similar, with the instruments I've got and know how to play.

Fender Telecaster->M-Audio Neo Fuzz -> Roland Cube 30.
MicroKorg
Shure SM57, Audio-Technica At-2020

The guitar actually was recorded in one take, using the MI-Audio Neo Fuzz to beef up the clean channel of the Cube 30. It's a really great pedal, delivers good. warm vintage fuzz tones.

Robbie Krieger; great fan of his work(The End is EPIC!!), but actually I didn't think of him while making this. But thanks anyway.

An interesting mix of sounds &mdash 03/28/08 - 10:59:24 PM
Kind of like Ravi Shankar meets Credence Clearwater and Johnny Cash for a gig.

That's not a bad thing, because you manage to pull it off quite well. And knowing how things went a Woodstock, it could have very well happened. Excellent job of mixing the different types together.

Great job.

memory of a happening &mdash 03/29/08 - 05:21:06 PM
brings me back to this little coffeehouse. we packed in to hear the local artists do their thing. it was a very small room. i think they call that sort of thing intimate these days. but it was always a happening.

such as this.

thanks!
