I love how you worked with the loop as it is, and contained it within the musical ideas and dialogue going on throughout the track. Jazzy, electronic, spacey, smooth.

there are parts of this that sound really folky to me - I'm sure I heard a jig type riff on a flute somwhere - very creative love all the different sounds - it really paints alot of varied textures - regards,Richard [ Reply to This ]

I enjoy your perception on this, I mean I had to deal with that dreaded loop, and so I had to spin some distracting sounds to mask what I was really up too... he he :)* ooops! You didn't hear that Dr. Lioli!!! I am glad to hear you mention insects......you know they get a bad rap most of the time, but for the most part, they are facinating, when not scary....My favorites are the wolf spider, and praying mantis or walking stick. ...the loop really was a rusty piece of metal, and somehow you nested it in a landscape of swirling enthusiasms that are at turns compelling, joyful and almost spiritual. And it all WORKS!

and I think the movie should be called the beautiful world of insects. Some of the loops you used are not the most beautiful in the library, but they contribute to, and live in, a beautiful world. Kind of like what some of the creepy crawly creatures of the earth do.
