Another great one Woofer!
All I know is I love your voice and your playing in this style. I know I sound like a broken record......but do you ever write anything in this style.

great!

I think the
only thing I've written in this sort of bluesy style is a song called -A Bomb Blues -[atom bomb blues] which is about the cold war all those years ago. It's part of a much bigger work, in fact a concept called -Back in Time -written in 2003] this also includes another song on my MacJams page here called, - Burning Hitler. It has just piano bass and vocals. The piano constantly shifts bass patterns moving between a sort of stride and single note boogie. I'll post it up for a little while.

Thank you for your kind remarks,

John.

Hello Dee-
I'm pleased you like this track. I just decided to record it on the spur of the moment. No mixing or anything , - just how it happened. Jelly Roll Morton is one of my idols. A great writer and a great musician as well.

The photo was taken about two years ago, where I live.

Thanks for listening,

John.

Groovin and chillin
This sure predates the Who's Substitute! Rally fine piano... love the instrumental break. Maybe you'd call it a slowed-down stride? Anyway it's great to hear it, and your vox does it fine justice.

Hi Bob -
this is a sort of slowed down stride. My left hand is continually fighting between stride and boogie woogie. I have listened to all these players over the years.

Thank you for listening

I rarely....
get this far into someone's page in one sitting but there is so much good stuff here I fear I'm addicted. I love this one and, once again you have given me something I didn't have till now. I never heard of Jelly Roll Martin till now. I would love to one day attend one of your gigs John.
