Hardly! This is just beautiful and lies so smoothly in the mid-range of the keyboard. The little figure you start with is wonderfully played throughout and it drives the composition. New Age, smooo-Age. It works, and that's what counts. Great playing, too.
(Small suggestion: drop the treble way down on your strings and you'll get a bit mellower sound from them.)

I was thinking.....goodlord this is the longest intro I've ever heard and waited till the very end for you to bust into song. ...you have a great touch on the piano. I don't think it is always appreciated how big a difference that makes. Some things that try to be in the 'New Age' realm sometimes sound to me like endlessly arpeggiating chords. This has real human heart all through... no note sounds unfelt or unconsidered...
In the recorded realm, I agree with Paul in that I don't think the strings are in the same league, sonically, with the piano. That's just a hardware/software thing, and the only nit I can pick.
