Description:
(no subject) is not a place holder, it's the actual title. I originally stuck it on, as a place holder, and then decided to work it in. This was originally a completely different song (which I will actually do later). But this just evolved over time to be what it is and I didn' try to stop it.
You ever had someone break up with you, and then, 3 months later, realize they made a mistake, and contact you to tell you so. These people really annoy me, so I wrote this song for them. Enjoy! Thanks for listening.
Lyrics:
You were once the half of me
I was once your man to be
You left home a pool of pain
My eyes worked out like the rain
You turned out just like Holly
But I never went to Tiffany's
I said bye, did not object
You emailed with no subject
Chorus:
Dinners were great
Before my hate
I could see just you
Before we knew
We had a life
Before your knife
Drew from my heart
For your depart
I said bye, did not object
You emailed with no subject
You said you were not ready
to have this life, the one with me
I said bye, gave you wings
to move on to other things
Yet here you are, on my screen
Email, no subject, make me scream
Hear me now, let me go
Your own seed sow
On my own for all this time,
not happy buy doing fine
working hard but playing much
No time to think of you and such
Your cruelty is in my past
It was fading oh-so-fast
I wonder why you bother me
Just let me be.
Chorus

I love the irony &mdash 04/03/08 - 04:07:31 PM
of the lyrics, here, and the mix and production are just perfect. I just would like to hear a fatter bass (I don't mean the volume, but the sound's not so full as I would hear it), and the drum sound I would go for a harder one? Just my taste, of course, and for the sake of "splitting the hair", as they say (do they really?) ;) [ Reply to This ]

avante garde I have heard from you Lenny, this is so much fun to listen to despite the subject matter. I love the vocal embellishments acting as percussion and instrumentation. [ Reply to This ]
