Description:
Re-mix of a previous post....

Lyrics:
WORLD WORLD.

World world gimme a break
Hold out your hand and I’ll shake it.
World world I ain’t no fake
Gimme a chance and I’ll take it….

Show me something I never knew
Something I didn’t learn in school.
Something wild an’ something fast
Something that won’t come in last.

Serve it on a plastic plate
Leave it at my garden gate.
All I ask is don’t make me wait
Any longer ‘cos I can’t be late.

Take along my friends and lovers
Bring ‘em out from under the covers.
Even add some innocent fools
An’ I’ll show ‘em how to be cool too!
Fill me with the future past
Furnish it with an all star cast.
Let it ring an’ let it blast
An’ let it fly from every mast.

James the Hoople?! &mdash 04/14/08 - 01:37:53 PM
Calling this a great drinking song will sound redundant with my comments on "All Roads" ... or it make me come off as an alcoholic! I was trying to remember where that - and this song too - live in my musical past. All I can say is that you've got a mix and arrangement that's maybe a little twangier than, but somehow reminiscent of the great, old Mott the Hoople.
