This is a song originally created by thatcomposerguy. I found it on my random searching and finally felt like singing. I liked this song because it was simple and sweet. It was meaningful on it's own. I don't think it's best suited for my voice and of course I always wish i could sing it better... but I did enjoy the lyrics I wrote to it. It's very meaningful to me.

I saw what you said above about feeling naked. The naked is what makes this so special and pure. The emotion comes from how open and spare it is and layering it would just add layers of gloss and take all that away. It's a good lesson for me as a singer, so thank you.

You know what? from singer to singer your comment means double. I don't know about you but I feel VERY nervous uploading a tune on here. Especially one that lacks gloss and such to hide vocal flaws. Maybe i'm learning that listeners appreciate the "flaws". I'm really happy you enjoyed my open and sincere vocal performance. should never be afraid to simply sing. one track, clean and bare. stripped of all the things that make a pop vocal. you have a voice built for broadway, or disney, and that is meant as a compliment. most people cannot sing with this much feeling or integrity. you pull this one off by simply singing it your best. no tricks, no layers, no stops and cuts. this is why your vocals sound as good as they do. wonderful song. thanks you for sharing it with all of us.

You have gentleness and subtlety in your voice... smooth and pro-level stylishness to it.
I wish it was longer. The simplified arrangement made your voice the centerpiece of the song, although at some point in the song, i was half-expecting a little more flair in the accompaniment. But that's just me. Overall, the simplicity does work to evoke a placid and tranquil emotion.
By the way, I totally loved you and I.Spike in "Icy Waters."

Oh that's great you heard Icy Waters. That's a good tune. I. Spike is a genius. I'm happy you think my voice is stylish. I know everyone's voice is unique but when I hear my voice I think "eh..it's not that special" when i compare it to radio artists. But hey..maybe it's unique? Hmmm!

.. stripped down .... it gives your voice a chance to shine and be the focal point of the tune ... very nicely done. Your voice stands pretty strong on its own and doesn't need all that layering anyway .. (just adds weight) ....

Yeeeah who needs layering!? WOOOOO haha. I feel safe with layering. In fact when I listen to my performance on here i go..."Ugh I'm pitchy here...and there..and here" and i just cringe. If you guys don't hear it that's good. But it drives me nuts. I'm glad you have embraced my true solo act. From singer to singer :-)

haaha. One thing I'm good at is wearing my emotions on my sleeve. I'm glad it comes through my voice. I don't see why it wouldn't. :-) There are def. negative things about that..but here..i'll take it!

Your voice is wonderful on this. I think it's the flaws that make it better, because the little cracks and pitch debatability (can't say really that it's dead-on, but it's not perfect, I guess, if you say so) make this all the more human and personable. There's character and truth to it, and all the gloss in the world would only make it trite and shallow and impersonal. This is obviously not shallow at all. I like this a lot!
