Description
Still waiting for some real inspiration, so I thought I might as well put up a couple of songs in my "Henkes Movie Music" collection. These were made early 2004 in the Soundtrack program mainly with loops from that library. A little story of some kind can often be found in them, which might make them worth a listen, but the mixing is not always of the highest quality, I am afraid. They my earliest pieces made on the Mac, remember...

This one is from a horrible education center for babies somewhere in a distant future or parallell universe (I hope). Ah well maybe you should make up your own story for this one...

Artwork: If brought up in another way it can grow up and look like this (and using Apple Computers too :-)

this is very cool! I really like the spoken words and other interesting sounds throughout. Good job - bring some more out of storage!

Thank you Karen!
That was a nice thing to say! Actually I could use some help deciphering(?) what that last speaker actually is saying. I thought it did well there, but I have no idea what it says, else than that it ends with "for you". Can you or anyone help me, please?

I am not all that proud of these pieces, but until I get to make some new music, I'll probably share a couple more soon.

Cool
It does have a background feel to something cinematic going on - a movie or a tasteful advert. The simple arrangement with the beat and punctuation of the works works well for me.

Thanks for posting!

Cheers,
Doug

Doug!
I am glad you liked this! I guess the "punctuation" comes from using plain loops without any creative cutting and mixing. It won't win an Oscar for best soundtrack, but of course that was never my ambition...

Be well!

An interesting idea for a the sound track to a light comedy or something like that.

Thanks

Hi Dee!
Thanks for your lovely comment. Well, she is kind of sweet still, three years or so later. Some odd colors there on the clothes, but she ain't "blue"...

I still got many more of your songs to go through but I'll probably have to take it slow, hope you donät mind.

Take care,
/Henke

Nice!
Very nice composition. Clean mix too.

And who's the little angel in the photo? What a cutie!

Be well!

Thank you Michael!
It's my youngest daughter of three. She is 7 now (probably 4 in the photo) and still very cute :-) The other two are 18 and 16. Time really flies when you've got children...

Take care,

You almost make me blush!
Not THAT cool, surely?!

I remember it was fun to do it, but everything was at that time, when I had just got my first "serious" music making software for my Mac. OK, I know Soundtrack may not be the most serios thing out there, but it was heaven to me until Garageband was released a couple of weeks later...

I DO have a couple more that I suppose I could share. Look out this weekend for a really dreary thing. Not fun at all, actually, but it might just possibly work as a short cinematic...

Thank you for your continued support. I am a big fan of yours as you know. Like I told you I put your latest on reapeat while working at home this morning. Worked like a charm :-)

Really enjoyed
this unusual song. OK, I give up - what's wrong with the mix? Sounded pretty good to me, to say the least.
Cheers

Hey Len!
You made my day! Maybe this is a killer hit after all?! Or maybe I've just listened to it too many times and don't hear the "freshness" any more... In a way I miss a little in the dynamics, and even if the loops are fairly well spread (or so it seems to me now), don't they get a teeny repetetive? I also get a bit of distortion on the babytalk.

Still, I am very glad you liked it!

Take care (and don't you go wandering off of MJ for several days like that, that won't do you know ;-)

Very nice job done here Henke. I'm glad to see you backed with your music. Great soundtrack in the background and nice "Yes and No" vocals.. hehehe.

Hi Yeman,
Nice to see you back at MJ too. Hope all is well with you. Thanks for listening and even enjoying this little piece! (It was done in the Soundtrack application so even the Yes and No are just parts of the Soundtrack sound library :-| )

Take care,

/Henke
