for you comments, this song is one of those I couldn't make my mind up about, it's been hanging around since the end of last year. Your words are much appreciated.

Quirky &mdash 04/09/08 - 02:03:02 PM
I dig quirky ones. And I really dig this one. I actually like the production, but I could see somebody saying it's too muddy.

Dig it.

'tis good to hear from you as always. Thanks for the kind words. Like a lot of my songs, this started it's life as a phrase which I heard on television. It was apparently said by the Japenese in WW2 over some issue. I thought - well if there's not a song in there I'll eat my hat.

A Mouthful of Rocks! &mdash 04/09/08 - 07:11:50 PM
Another good song with great harmony. I especially like the melody line that goes down at the end of the verses (I try my best in each and every way). Adds the right touch. And those "guitars" are wild.

The wife says you sound so much like Ray Davies, and if she says so, you know it is so.

Tim, glad you like the song - &mdash 04/10/08 - 09:50:18 AM
I was trying out my new pedal on this one. Thank you for the Ray Davis comment,- other than the Kinks big hits I haven't heard an awful lot by Ray Davis but I do occasionally work with a guitarist who does gigs with Ray now and again. No name dropping.

the first person here ever to comment on one of my songs, I'm glad you like this one and yes I thought it had a slightly reggae feel to it as well.

that's got 'em all thinking ay! The Welsh songbird from Bonnie Tyler territory. Thank you for commenting on this piece of bubblegum.

Anyone who is reading this must check out Helen's recording of Brian's Teeth. -Very Zappaesque.

Great &mdash 04/10/08 - 11:47:24 AM
Welsh Reggae is the next big thing!
This is a really infectious tune. So many great things going on (e.g. bouncy bass, great backing vocals and those bursts of Wah wah guitar (I'd have liked more of that). Enjoyed listening!
Thanks
Steve
