But I guess they don't like hurting our feelings, can't blame anyone for that though. You know what I mean, :) I have only just learnt how to pan those volume curves as well.

It was only for a bit of fun Paul posted this song and I had to put my sticky fngers into it as usual. Paul has no idea I have this up as yet.
better post him a copy quick haha . The drums and some little bits that I was not keen on either, But it will do and I do love that flute its awsome. Maybe Paul can come up with another version I was led to believe he was in the process of.
only I have not heard anything from him ages. Hope he is well Mmmm

Well done Dee (and also Paul) for putting together such a wonderful piece of music. To me the piece doesn't stay the same and so has me both relaxing and paying attention at the same time. I'm sure as I listen to it more I will just sit back and relax, once I know what's coming next.

The introdcution is maybe a bit long but just when you want soemthing else to happen then it does as the other instruments come in to flesh out that cleverly echoed guitar - so it's worth the wait. Very peaceful grove and I like it a load! [ Reply to This ]

And you should, because it is a lovely song! To me it evokes a little bit of melancholy or brooding sensations, but maybe that's just me...

Hat's off to ya Paul. Brilliant job! Very Impressive. I love the way this evolved. One suggestion, I would try shortening up the intro a bit so the strings come in sooner. Just a suggestion. Never the less, Nice listen.
I enjoyed it. The drums don't sound out of place any longer. Fits nicely now. Also, Nice post production Dee, the mix sounded good.

Cheers yep know what you mean. There is another version just as it was sent
to me by Paul with the intro shorter and the flute and the orchestra coming in sooner a shorter version on Icompositions. Just as stunning I think maybe you wil like that version better and thanks about the drums. I am not too sure some lke them some do not. Mmm

.. lovely additions .. but the way the drums come in and out .. so suddenly .. grates a little for me still..(see previous comment). I think a slow fill and a more laid back 'spareser' beat might suit better...then .. it would be just perfeck ;o)

Nice contemplative, thematic work with a nice slow build up.
I would have either tried to use either a different drum loop or try to match up where they were brought in differently. Seemed like the timing was off some but I could really sense where you wanted to go with this, and thought it a wonderful idea.

The first couple of minutes were absolutely lovely. I love the guitar lines (the slow delay and the panning effects is a very nice touch) and when the soft orchestra joins in it gets even more beautiful.
But if I can be completely honest - I really didn't like the drums. At all.
Because the song definitely works without them, just as a dreamy ambient-y song.
They just come in and leave too suddenly and it's just too much of a contrast to the calming guitar/orchestra ensemble.
At least to my ears.
But don't get me wrong - everything else about it I liked!

This is a nice bit of reflection, both audio and "mental." Sweet and melodic, ironically, without needing an obvious lead guitar line. This has a really great build as you add strings, bass, etc...
