Description:
Salvaged from another analog tape from 1977. This is our lead guitarist Wade on all guitars, he sings the main vocal, I did backup vocals along with Roger.
Sorry but this seems to all be panned to the middle. As it came from a cassette there is little I can do about it.
The performance is a little rough but if you look past that the song is quite pretty.

The intro reminded me of another great folk song.....this has an excellent melody.
Loved the instrumentation and harmonies
I think this song is excellent, really enjoyed the listen!

pretty.Rough spots are easily overlooked because this really shines bright in both writting and delivery.Reminds me of the band Bread and their beautiful melodies.A very nice resurrected work.

Nice Harmony, guitar reminds me of Pure Prarie League; very pretty.

Lovely guitar work on this and a nice song, sweet melody and lovely harmonies. Ultimately it doesn't matter about the quality of the recording if the song is strong, and this is strong in my opinion. Very cool to hear this echo from your past. Nice. Peace.

This has taken me straight back in time. Really lovely song with a beautifully delicate performance. Very enjoyable.

vintage 77 to me! Fogelberg, Forbert, Pure Prairie League. I like the turn of the chords to the minor, reminds me also of CSN.
Doadars Uncle
followed by light words.
I really enjoy the brightness the recording give the theme!

song.Jim Croce-like guitars.Cool!

This IS a great tune that hearkens back to the era when it meant something to a whole generation to just set the needle down on a good LP, put that big 12" jacket on your lap, read the liner notes and zone out to a good tune (while separating-out the seeds and stems). It has a good organic (pun intended) buzz. (And so does the music.) Don't worry about the panning, it's fine.
woofer3
the quality of the music its-self is excellent and I think the production sounds fine - 1977 wow that was one of my favourite years- in many ways one of my happiest.
Very instant and very enjoyable,

Post a reply to each of you but man that is painful. Every time MacJams come up with an error and all...
So I hope it's ok if you all accept my thanks in this one comment!
We were but kids just out of HS with jobs and enough money to land us an 8 track recorder. We spent hours and hours recording stuff much of which was lost. Some stayed on the 1 inch tape and got shipped around the country when I moved. I shutter when I think of how much stuff was never mixed and chilled down to a stereo groove. Alas... Well time to go make new music for all of us!
WillyB
..what a great capture. Nice mix. Don't worry about the hiss. After a few seconds, the mind is so mesmerized by the sound that you don't hear the hiss. As for the performance, it's got a very natural sound that fits the times. Great addition to the MJ library. Thanks!
Come back and leave you a comment this is really wonderful.
I love it sooo much and your voice sounds fantastic. Do you know that.
The Gutar work sound gorgous too,
Well Done.
Peace Dee. xx

I like earnest songs honestly sung and this is a good one. Cleaned up, it could be a Peter Hammill song. As is, it's really pretty.

How come I haven't heard your songs- I must be way out of the loop..
This is wonderful.. everything- the lyrics, your playing, the chord changes, the vocals, the mixing.. I feel so much to listen to your songs! I need to catch up in here! I think you are a great musician.:-)

anything to apologize for. You transmitted your joy and your energy and it is a a real gift that you had some of your past fit to be reborn in the present. Really enjoyable! Thanks!

...also only just discovered you Mark, and this is very nice. Straight off a lost CSNY album. Shame about the tape his - but a stamp of history and authenticity. Indeed a very pretty song.
