Description
Recorded live to a Zoom H2 in our basement space. Our drummer was sick so we put a Roland Keyboard Cube 60 on the drum throne and ran some Drums on Demand off a laptop. Two guitars and bass - no overdubs.
Next week maybe we'll figure out a B part and some vocals.
Best heard loud.

...
nice playing. who needs a drummer when you have a keyboard? sounds like this will be an awsome song once you get vocals and everything.

We're getting together again tomorrow night
we'll see what happens. Thanks for checking this out - it's from our second rehearsal as Splinter - and the first for our new drummer.

Sonic Youth/BH Surfer Rock
Interesting chord progression variation and those drums are perfect!

I really hope to hear this song with vocals because it has an exciting drive to it and a kind of vintage surf rock feel to it, but noisier. It's as if Thurston Moore joined Man or Astroman or the Butthole Surfers.

Very original sound. It's good to hear live recordings like this.

Downloaded.

i like the DOD through the Cube. you should always do that, since you're drummer is such a crazy frontman. loving all of that washy reverb and the fuzz sounds great when it comes in. insistent is a perfect description. crazy solos man.

The crazy drummer frontman drummer guy
from our previous incarnation Wonderpus called it quits - hence the drum machine. Too bad really - this could have been the perfect solution. The crazy solos are courtesy of John Terhorst of the sadly defunkt Reverb Motherfuckers.
