What a sound!
Yeah. This works for me! Very original, very tight sound. Great, great harmonies, instrumentation is excellent. Songwriting stands out from the crowd - takes a universal theme that has been written time and time again and presents it in a unique way.

Well done!

Sweet
Well-written and well performed. Nice restraint.

Excellent piece of work. Sounds more like Blue-eyed Soul than C&W to me.

One subjective suggestion: The lead guitar fills sound funny in the mix to my ears because of the chorus effect. Maybe because the rhythm guitar is chorused, as well? It sounds fine during the lead break, though. So, maybe try the lead without the chorus until the break. Just a thought. ;)

interesting
how you dropped in the whole band from just the singing and strummin.

Interesting indeed, it really captures a nice mood, especially with the backround singing.

Enjoyed, the mix as well, how it all fits in my headset listening! Nice!

...
the vocals get really nice and strong when the drums kick in. i like how this has a country feel to it, but it's not straight country it just has an honest feel to it. nice use of the electric guitar to break up the song. lyrics sound really good as well. some nice bluesy licks in there.
