Description:
I have finally got back on the saddle after a year and a half. I have decided to try and create a collection of songs that will hopefully mix together to create about 45 minutes continuous mix of Drum n Bass. This is Chapter One, the plan is to create a chapter every couple of months.

I LOVE this track Emp!
Beautiful balance on mixing and some fabulous weaving in of FX and Synth. Like the Vocal samples..
The beat behind keeps the track mesmerising all the way thru!
I want it to be Longer !

Really like the synth choices, the space and use of timing in the first half - it becomes a little less interesting to me when the synth array comes in - it tends to wash out the energy a little.. Just my opinion of course. That said - this is a great start to your project and I'll stop back for more. [ Reply to This ]

The mix is really well put together, but it's way too quiet I think. You could bump the volume on this track a bunch; it wouldn't clip at all. I agree with Bud, the synths don't quite add enough to the song. However, I think you're on the right track using them: something has to go there to keep the energy flowing. Perhaps a "nimble" energetic melody line, if that makes sense? All told, this is a great first draft for a cool project idea. Keep me posted.

Thanks for the great comment. I hope your Amp is not dead and only has a minor issue. I am glad you like the idea and yes I will keep you posted on amendments and next chapters of the project. Again I will try and see what can be done to sort out areas of this track.
