Description:
This song is very personal, and chokes me up every time I listen to it. It was hard to sing because of the emotion involved. It is a protest song, but the protest is against yours truly. I purposely didn't post the lyrics because I didn't want to take away from the hook in the last verse. I hope some of you can relate to it and it touches that soft spot in your heart.

...Yes. That's a commodity we are all sorely missing. But memories are built on experiences and, in retrospect, most of those are positive even though we may have some regrets...

Really strong vocal and driving guitar work, Rick. I totally enjoyed this song and appreciate so very much your willingness to share something so personal with us here at MJ. ... The recording itself is crisp and clear and your higher register is right on the money!

Bless you for this very heartfelt and thought provoking song.
There was no need for written lyrics. Don't we all wish we had said things and done things at the time. In Retrospect. Have more time.

You sang this with a very beautuful heart and spirit and sounded like you meant everyword
I heard this Emotion that also came through.
It is beautiful and what a Fantastic Voice you have. Wow!!
Also brought tears to my eyes as well.

This is a very meaningful song, Rick, and it makes me want to spend more time with my own dad, and with my three kids.

Your vocal is clear and inviting. The guitar work is also very solid. You remind me a little bit of Cat Stevens, and also Harry Chapin.
