i swear i'm trying to refrain from posting so much lol. i did this one a week or two ago. i was talking to my friend and looking at some old folk songs online and thought i'd try to do something folky oddly enough it came out sounding more dark than anything. the lyrics were written while talking to my friend. it was inspired by a half formed plan we have to save up for two years and than run away on a year long vacation. she will ofcourse be doing all the driving as i hate driving. i may progress this one a little more cant decide if i like it or not.

In a good way! At first I wasn;t sure if I liked it, but the more I listened, the more it drew me in. I'm downlading this one!

thats how it is when i listen to it too i think. as it goes on it captures me more. it sounded better before i recorded it but than when i recorded i was getting tired and the emotion wasn't coming off as strong as when i first played it glad you enjoyed it.

hehe thanks. i think if i had a harmonica i'd add it to this track just for fun. perhaps i should dig out the uke and add that to it. if i posted away we might have like 5 a day tho haha

I think you sound more cheerful so perhaps you really do love your guitar
actually its quite good. I think it is starting to fall in love with you your guitar.

but i wasn't singing about my guitar i was singing about running off with my friend lol. yes this is a little closer to cheerful than most of my songs lol. thanks for the comment and listen. we both sort of like eachother and i always joke around and tell her i know her secrets and that she's deeply in love with me. so the lyrics are sort sort of drawn from our little game i guess it'd be called.

Its has a real emotion in the way its played and sung. I noticed that and some instances your vocal delivery is almost ahead of your playing. Just my opinion, Overall a heartfelt performance !

thanks. it's possible the vocal part did get ahead. i was getting really tired by the time i got this done it was a lot better before i recorded it lol. it is on my list with the many songs i need to record everything seperate.

often times ive wanted to find a way to make it so all i own is my guitar and ofcourse a music player and just be able to throw it on my back and go where ever. i hate the feeling of being tied down by a job and house and all of that unfortunately i never really can get myself to be too adventurous by myself. thanks for the comment and listen
