is that you in the photo? My brain simply canNOT comprehend 7/4, though it SOUNDS right in my ears, I could no more write in this time signature than fly. Your brain must be wired in an unusually complex way in the music spectrum. It's fascinating. This is really interesting, I've become a true fan of yours! Thanks

Magnatone, that's my friend Scott in the picture. We spent three weeks together walking half-way across Colorado. After we nearly throttled each other in the first week, we had a really great time hiking through the wilderness.

Thanks for stopping by again and with such high regards. This is the kind of unexpected support that makes this community such a grand place to share music.

Where is the one - I can't find the one &mdash 04/15/08 - 06:11:06 PM
not that I mind - but I thought it would be interesting to try. Again you seem to be working in a trio mode of sorts with three lines working for and against each other. It's interesting how this mode seems to cross genres with you. I guess it's actually four lines - drums melody - chord structure and bass. I'm thinking too much - what really stands out is how cool this sounds.

Bud, you've got my song writing down to a formula it seems. I do tend to voice arrangements in a point-counterpoint, two to five voices plus percussion. I can't really think about any more than that. I guess it's the formal training that started all of this music, which I can't get rid of. You may be thinking too much, but you're not far from the mark.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wow &mdash 04/19/08 - 06:07:04 PM
Also awesome. I'm glad I stumbled upon your stuff. Judging from the two tunes I've heard so far, your just the type of creator I was hoping I'd run across in a place like this. Really dig your sound. Thanks again.

More than happy . . . &mdash 04/19/08 - 07:30:03 PM
that I can please. It's nice to run into like-minded folks, especially when people with 7/4 minds are kinda hard to come by.

Thanks again,
-greg

Slightly off kilter - love the meter!
