Really effective &mdash 04/15/08 - 05:20:28 PM
grooves and sounds - like the unusual temp changes and overall feel. Really grows on you as it progresses. Great production.
Cheers

Thank you! &mdash 04/15/08 - 06:16:21 PM
Those tempo changes... long story short. 4 versions of the song which went progressively from no tempo shifts to this one which had the steepest gradients. Im hearing it now though on MJs and I think I just realized I have my master audio up too high, its not suppose to have quite that much fuzz on it :) The interesting thing is about the tempo shifts though are that a lot of the chirps work well with the song... which in the end was the deciding factor for me on this one in particular.

Im glad you dug it thats for sure... was starting to get all butterflyish in the tummy area. Does that happen to you before/during/immediately after posting? :D

Thanks again Len!

Butterflies &mdash 04/16/08 - 01:07:08 AM
Absolutely - it's like the first time your child rides their bike solo. You just see them wobbling away and hope they don't fall flat on their faces.
Cheers

"all embracing wall of sound"... that needs to be a genre! So very happy you and others are liking the tempo changes, I'd gotten to the point where I wasnt sure if it worked for reals or I was just getting all blindly/deafly sweet with this one. Glad you got your groove on to it..very glad!

Well being to you as well!

Its long .. &mdash 04/16/08 - 04:05:03 PM

.. and has a very wide bottom end .. but back to the song: freakin' awesome! Welcome back Jason!! Been long time .. and what a great post - the arrangement and attention to detail in variations is wonderful .. akin to one of my favorites: "Mint Royale" - organic/synthetic, new age and above all well groovy!

No nits - a quickie in 06:59? Counting for undressing and re-dressing .. hmm .. ok.. ;o)

LMAO!!!!!!!! &mdash 04/16/08 - 04:27:31 PM
I soooooooo didnt mean it that way! lol.. but I am most certainly glad you did! Thanks for the welcome back I missed you too mate! Just been getting my duck or.. I think theyre guinea hens actually.. but yeah those bird-ish thingies been getting them in a row (hows that for murdering a metaphor? lol) . Ive been thinking about you a lot lately as I make my way back into the mj music world. I cant believe how many times Ive looked up to see people grooving to Ministers Daughter at some get together or another (Ive got it on several mix CDs)... yeah I want to collab with you again someday whne you can pencil me in (no worries I know your busy in 10 different ways with home and other collabs :) .

As for your compliments regarding the song... just allow me to blush and give a very gracious thank you because really theres tons to nit pick about it :D . hehe ... and ermmm you'll have to ask my friend about the undressing thing but my guess is uh.. ermm.. that you dont get really undressed for a quickie.. hence the description of quickie:) . *blushing furiously now*

Thanks muchly Dee! &mdash 04/16/08 - 04:35:05 PM
Yeah I spend hours fiddling around making a song then breaking it because I spent too much time messing about with it so then I have to go back and spend time making it again... its quite maddening but still beats video games and "reality" tv by a long shot! Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed it:)

Trip of simultaneous melancholia and riffage that is tailor-made for headphones. I enjoy the progression and poignant flow to this song! Keep up the good work! Very Cool & original
