Description:
My son is now the age I was when I wrote this poem and I see the same darkness that I felt way back when...but honestly I'm much better now...hopefully so will he be! Anyway, its funny how I can remember this after all the years. And if nothing else, its short. I resisted the urge to make the voice deeper and more effective since its mine.

Lyrics:
I know a place where shadows bloom
Flowers die and rot
Babies leave their hollow wombs
Existence is their lot
Their faces blank, unwritten pages
Free of social ink
are marred by pens of so-called sages
who tell them what to think
With best intent we steal their souls
Their hollow bodies grieve
They live in chains without parole
Til death grants its reprieve

Yes. Nice ambient introspection. You have a pleasant speaking voice. An affirmation of necessary youthful darkness. I experienced similar shades of gray.

I'm flattered for your listening! You've produced volumes of great material here which I've enjoyed. I'm actually a fairly optimistic person these days, ironically! But you are only 19 once..thank god!

Wow I love your voice its sounds really clear and fascinating actually.
I tried to write you a note back in reply to yours about my new pic Egyptian!! and guess what. My connection got broke. I had to restart
and lost the reply. Never mind I am here now ha ha.
You spoke it wonderfully. I am impressed. also a very poignant poem.
Peace Dee.

Thanks for the listen &mdash 04/15/08 - 08:55:36 PM
This is an atypical piece for me actually. Most of my vocals are modified and with some effects I can pull off James Earl Jones :)

But in the end I took most of the effects off since this was a bit of a personal piece.

Very cool &mdash 04/21/08 - 09:45:44 PM
Sounds like a familiar place, especially at that age. Great poetry, and you wrap it in some great sounds here. Your voice works very well too. I think you got it right. An effected vocal would not have been as effective. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.
