Song Description

Bud's Phenomenon inspired this composition. I allowed ethereal spirits to channel through my hands to create a piano noodle. Then I added a ton of reverb, and played it backwards. Then I chopped up the midi track into bits and reversed their order. Several copies of that are used to control various orchestral synths...

WOW SMOKEY! So in other words, this is completely TWISTED! An amazing amount of creativity has come out of Bud's Phenomenon, and this is a prime example. You really put your inspiration cap on for this. Shades of Revolution 9 in a few spots. Very cool - congrats!

B-4 you say anything, Londo... &mdash 04/16/08 - 10:42:48 AM
(From the title and photo, I INSTANTLY heard his Russian accent... I was such an addict for that series, loved Heinlen's story arc... and loved Christopher Franke's music on the show.)

This is an unusual musical "experiment"... Of course the bells and backward bits remind me a bit of Mungo-territory. I liked the orchestral sound, although it could have been a little richer (boost the bass/treble a little?) Have you been listening to Strauss's Auch Sprach Zarathustra on repeat? Despite being a little "modern" and meandering, it is rather mesmerizing.

ttfn,
Drakonis, who lives in the dimension of the "Shadows"

Revelation 9? Ha ha....

I played this back sideways and thought I heard someone repeating "I buried Bush..." Hmmmmnnnn.........

This one really put a strain on my Andromeda!

Be well Bill!

Intereting experiment - the possibilities are &mdash 04/17/08 - 07:48:26 PM
endless aren't they? Sometime the limitless nature of the digital realm can be overwhelming - but you often manage to find some system to shine a light. Great work Bill. Thanks for picking up where Phenomenon left off.

Time travel &mdash 09/01/08 - 09:41:45 PM
There's so much atmosphere in this I had to switch on my fog lights.
Has a feeling of time travel especially going back in.
A melange of lots of cool stuff.
Really enjoyed this trip.
