Description:
This was made with Cydonia Mensae in mind. More commonly known as the 'Face on Mars.' It is undoubtedly one of the most unusual structures on Mars, including what some people believe are adjacent pyramids. Today the general consensus is that the 'Face on Mars' is an optical illusion or an example of pareidolia. Although it is more than likely the case, I find it strange that geological survey planes with high tech cameras often report unusual structures on our own surface; as a result the reported structures are investigated on the ground. My question is: if geological survey planes with high tech cameras cannot prove with 100% certainty ancient manmade structures from a mere few thousand feet, how can a satellite orbiting Mars provide absolute proof? It seems hardly scientific to rush to judgment given our own science here on earth.
At any rate, for what it is worth, I neither believe or reject that the 'Face on Mars' is an alien structure. I only open my mind to the realm of possibilities in music.

Ambient, spatial, Masterpiece :) &mdash 04/16/08 - 02:57:49 AM
You have weaved a design with your magical music which results in demonstrative proof that space itself is a realm that exists and does not exist......and its illusion can be manipulated by musical vibrations itself. You take the listener on a journey... that is for sure! Where do we go? Back upon ourselves......where you prove the realm of "possibilities in music", is limitless.......Thanks for sharing this...:) Im still speechless.......he he :D) [ Reply to This ]

This is SO COOL!! This Mars series has been spectacular and I'm so continually amazed at your ability to do these pieces in such an evocative and stimulating way. This will be great motorcycling music! Thanks Joe! [ Reply to This ]

I have no &mdash 04/16/08 - 03:25:36 PM
idea whatsoever how you do these 'H', but they certainly are very effective and this one in particular makes for a blissful interlude in the mad rush of everyday life.
Cheers

Getting deep into the heart of the matter &mdash 04/16/08 - 10:25:47 PM
or ether. Really enjoyed this - makes me want to slow down and stretch time and space - I feel so rushed these days. Beautiful sonorities - and the development and emergence at the end is stunning. [ Reply to This ]
Real space music! &mdash 04/17/08 - 02:29:42 PM
Well, Heightened, I listened to your Mars One series and was truly impressed. Great idea for a theme. I think Part 2 is my favorite at the moment. If imagining faces on Mars inspires you to write beautiful space music, go for it. [ Reply to This ]

my god &mdash 04/19/08 - 09:49:42 PM
that is so great. i have been desperately trying to catch up on a bunch of music i missed. i think you need to put this stuff out (i'm a big fan of your ambieny/experimental pieces). this is perfection. all of the sounds coming in so well.
have you seen the thing on mars that looks like a man with his chin resting on his hand. like an extraterrestrial version of the thinker. [ Reply to This ]

The &mdash 05/04/08 - 06:40:13 AM
space effects and sounds are great but I feel it needs more melody to sustain the theme. It's all beautifully played but perhaps could be condensed a little.....I know that when you get a groove or a theme sometimes it is hard to let go and accept that less is more ...at that I am terrible...as well as the mandolin...etc [ Reply to This ]
Lovely &mdash 06/04/08 - 02:19:53 PM
