Description
This piece started off as simply a Latin rhythm-based mix but had a life of its own. I've decided to upload it at it's complete as far as it goes and it quite free of 'noise' other than the tune itself.

I think that it's a hybrid of Cha cha and Bossa Nova but I could be wrong.

The main component, ie the rhythm/percussion, was completed using a soft synth from South America and they seem to do the bongo-based rhythms very well. I'll be using this multi-effect soft synth some more over the next few weeks.

See what you think about this mix. I'm interested in what anyone and everyone thinks.

HI Eckleiste....
It's very kind of you to listen to my music and then to say you know what I was thinking!!! I hope you don't become sick with my thoughts. Ha ha.

I basically tried playing around with a soft synth effect unit called 'Rhythmic Tangents' and fed other noise attenuators off of this output. The result sounded vaguely Latin, so I called the piece a Latin piece, with a fairly obvious title.

To me the music is just weird, because it never really goes anywhere and could be annoying.

Thanks for listening to my music once again and leaving me your words.

Take care.

Assooga !
I really like the syncopated rhythmic patterns on this. To me it's a great piece to have a dialogue with another instrument (maybe a brass one, or even an electric guitar) It's certainly never boring, or annoying. I also really like the texture of the sound.

Hi.....
Thank for your really kind word and also for listening to this strange or experimental piece of music.

I wasn't too sure about uploading it but decided to in the end.

I too am into this type of mix of various instruments that accentuate and also complement each other to give a better sound experience, hopefully.

Take care.

Feels more experimental than
Latin. But a cool song nonetheless.

Hi H.
You're quite correct. It had elements of experimental and latin but the beat seemed more latin, so I plumbed for that as the choice of genre.

ALL my pieces are experimental, in that I never know what's going to happen with them next.

Take care.

I enjoy creating music using computers and 'synthesized' as opposed to 'real' instruments. I have no problem using samples/loops in my music. Everyone does this every time they work with a track. I don't fit in any box and thoroughly enjoy working ou... [see more]
