Description:
Bold, big and a top piece of guitar work by Mr Tom Wounded. This song was about to be binned. Mr W saved it and turned it into this musical wake up call.
I am indebted to the man.
Lyrics:
How can you tell me
Time is short of breath now
You must think I’m crazy
Glowin’ in a sideshow
Who d’ya think your foolin’?
Slip into your temptress
Painted lips are reddy
Come and get undressed, yeah!
Meet me here
This is a first and final
You can take or leave it or you better beware
Meet me here
This is a first and final
One chance to do it
Hiding in the lane where
You can take me higher
I didn’t think you really cared
White on the black you
Came like an attack
You acted like a shark
When all I did was look at you
Meet me here
This is a first and final
You can take or leave it or you better beware
Meet me here
This is a first and final

Great Time... &mdash 04/16/08 - 08:06:54 PM
...I had playing to this, an infectious killer bassline! how could I pass? what many wont know when listening to this is the evolution of it, but they can dig the amazing mixing involved with this...

Tom weaved his axework all over this one and it inspired the rockin' vox. If there was a genre known as 'chunky', this would be firmly in that category!

OK - here's a plan - let's all meet up at 5 Ninth next Wednesday and discuss the future of rock and roll. Obviously you guys are in the know!
This rocks.
Bud, I think you're gonna have to keep this whole thing in control.
Great work gentlemen. I am impressed.

And Jim, you look bad to the bone in the new photo, although I am most fond of that photo from your school days!

We'll have a lot to share with this community of ours. They might ban us from the site, but in my opinion, that's way better than ignoring us!

What a tragedy that would have been. Love this - fantastic lyrics and great music. This is one to keep so, downloaded and thanks.
Cheers

Great that you enjoyed it enough to DL. I had been sitting on this for ages and shared it with Tom to see if he could add to it as I knew there was something missing.
And boy, did he add or what!?
Cheers!

Driving today... &mdash 04/17/08 - 06:44:42 PM
Driving today and I stopped at a red light, I looked over as a black convertible Chevy '57 with flames on the side being driven by one tough looking dude and And this is the song that was blasting as the bass made my car and everything in the vicinity vibrate and I noticed the squares on the street looking real upset while the girls & boys were loving it, heheh
Sorry for the creative writing, this song kick ass! [ Reply to This ]

Hey Mo! &mdash 04/18/08 - 09:01:45 AM
How you been? I've been trying to spend time making music as opposed to commenting for a change. You and I are at opposite ends of the spectrum with our recent posts - and that my friend is why this is a natural home for both of us. We are all welcome(d). Great innit?!
Good to hear from you, Mo; always appreciated. I bet you just knew that Tom and I would work together one day ...!

This is piling up into the CBGBs weekend - can't wait to unleash Tom Wounded's outrageous guitar-work on our entry!
Glad you like - means a bunch. Are you gittin' down to some rockin' biz too?!

Head banging goodness. Great driving bass line. Lovely texture on the guitars. Awesome lyrics and delivery. Superb mixing and production. Very impressed. I can sort of understand now why this is in the "other" category. I might call it "progressive rock" or something but I'm not very fond of labels anyway. Song labels/genres are for marketers not musicians. Great job gentlemen! [ Reply to This ]
What a fine sound you two have &mdash 04/22/08 - 09:12:15 PM
cooked up on this one. Unlike anything I've heard in a long time. I'll take a case. This is so effing cool. Love the vox, bass and buzzing geetars and effects. Too much and more. [ Reply to This ]
Dig the sounds &mdash 05/01/08 - 12:04:48 PM
coming from this tune. Punkin' great. Like when ya'll bit that little blues note when you sing in the verses.
T.W. great as usual.
Dig the sounds.
