Description:
I love the band Chicago, when I grow up I want to play with them.....however it is unlikely that I will ever grow up... so.... I wrote this song for my oldest daughter Ava, and pretended that I recorded it with Chicago ( I also pretend that I invented the internet, shoes and breathing ) .
Much like my time spent in the NHL, the true meaning of this song and what I was trying to accomplish only mean something to me.
However this song comes across to you, I wish to extend my warmest thanks for taking the time to listen.
Norman Goodman
72 strat straight into a Roland Blues Cube 60

sounds amazing. You have great tone and amazing control of those sweeping licks- not to mention the superb background and mix.I think you should send this to Chicago and see if they need a guitarist! [ Reply to This ]

the goods.Love that strat sound and your super solid chops that don't just fly in and around the piece but actually compliment the 'Chicago' backdrop nicely.A wonderfully performed post and I also like your wonderfully playful discription.Gooood stufff!

Great stuff &mdash 04/23/08 - 12:35:13 AM
I can definitely see Parizader and Pankow and Loughnane backing you up on that killer solo!
I was lucky enough to see them on tour in '96 and they were fantastic. This would easily have fit in the set.
Good job!
PS. You description mentions the NHL, did you play, or what did you mean by the time spent in the NHL. [ Reply to This ]

I'm not a big fan of Jazz but I find that this piece is truly great Norman. Your guitar playing is superb and the backing track is killer. Bravo man... this is great! [ Reply to This ]

Got the groove and the lines flowing. Close your eyes and heck, your living that dream playing with that dream band. One of my favorites for sure.
Now, if you could get the groupies too as Terry Kath speaks of here:

Great guitar playing. The way the melody builds to its climax is a joy to hear.
