Description:
this is a newer recording of a song i posted a few weeks ago (will you burn with me) not a final version by far but i think the production is a bit better. i think the guitar may be too quiet not sure what do people think? and ignore when it gets to could i burn a thousand deaths my missing the word could.. or i missed the first half cuz i was falling asleep and forgot what i was doing when i was recording cuz i zoned out. i wasnt going to post this one, but dee wanted me to put up the newer recording because she really likes it. i have more produced recordings of my last few songs. i may add a second guitar to some of the picking parts.. sounds good but i also sort of like the emotion of just one voice and one guitar.
.. additional thought.. this song has been confusing some about it's meaning and such. this song is sad yes but in it's dark way it is a song about hope. it is a song about the hope of being saved. let me explain.. "burn in hell with me it just might feel like heaven" in my own way that means we can save eachother from the past and fill the empty hole of loneliness. this song is not about ravyn.. it is about a friend who i have all but fallen in love with over and over again it is about telling her we can help eachother through and comfort eachother and through it we may discover we truly love eachother. i know it does not sound like a song of hope.. but it was sparked by hope. it was saying look at all the pain ive felt but you can make it feel better.

Chance this version is better your voice is good on this seriousely
I mean you are singing about a memory of a lost love.And you are agonising over it.
But that guitar
I seriousely love the sound and the chords.
Its got a beautiful sound, Your voice is sad and mournful/as it should be thats the song.
Yet the sound of the guitar is sooo beautiful. The two opposites see what I mean. I think your guitar loves you.!! :)

thanks dee. the interesting thing is this was sort of written out of a moment in hope. me and my friend both have the same problem and it was sort of my saying lets forget everything we've lost and take care of eachother. i know it's hard to find the light and the hope through this song, but it was there. my writing and dark mind often mask joy and hope to where it's almost invisible. and a song that conveys a lot of emotion.I think I heard the first go around and liked that as well.I can certainly feel this deep in my bones.There is much I could say about the discription part of the post but that's a whole other story,only to be spoken of in private due to the nature of the site.Musically I like what you're doing here,stripped down,barebones raw,zero effects,naked.Much enjoyed.

thank you i'm glad you liked it. i definitely felt this song when i wrote it. yes there is lots that can be discussed with the description it was over analyzing of the song by others that caused me to write more to the description so perhaps the meaning of the song made more sense. Beautiful melody on the guitar. Agonizing vocals that deepen the sense of doom of the lyrics. In contrast the beautiful girl in the picture is looking up at the camera flash with profound eyes. Very sad song.

thanks for the comment and that's my favorite picture of the pretty lady in the picture. think it's because it seems like she's looking up at me. tis a great friend. i'm in love with the picking picking pattern on the guitar, for years ive obsessively played melodies based around that pattern no matter where the capo is moved just playing in d chord position changing up the notes on the last string is so pretty [ Reply to This ]

A very nice song Chance. Good vocals, good playing. I enjoyed it but I was wishing if you can turn it into a full song with solo, some electric guitar or just strings background! But it's really nice song. Good job my friend!
